Steele Canyon Youth Football and Cheer: Welcome

Welcome to the home of the 2011 National Champions - Steele Canyon Cougars Midgets!

Welcome to the Steele Canyon Youth Football and Cheer Association. We are a tackle and flag Football and Cheer league serving the youth of East San Diego County, Jamul, Rancho San Diego, Spring Valley, La Mesa, Alpine, El Cajon.

We are a part of the association of the San Diego County Youth Football League (AYF). The goal of the Steele Canyon Youth Football and Cheer Association (SCYFBC) is to serve the community and ensure that Football and Cheerleading are an enjoyable and rewarding experience. Our philosophy is to inspire our youth to practice the ideals of sportsmanship and physical fitness through positive instruction, competition and exemplary staff conduct. In addition, we underscore the importance of high scholastic achievement among our young athletes and support it as a priority.

PLAYERS & CHEERLEADERS MUST BE PRESENT AT SIGN-UP

YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING ITEMS TO REGISTER:
  • PAYMENT
    Check, Credit Card or Cash (make checks/money orders payable to SCYFBC)
  • ASSOCIATION REGISTRATION FORM
    Completed by both Player and Parent/Legal Guardian (with Proof of Guardianship)

    ON-LINE REGISTRATION IS AVAILABLE 
  • PROOF OF AGE
    ORIGINAL Birth Certificate (PLUS 2 copies)
    Cannot be a Hospital Certificate
  • PROOF OF RESIDENCY (2 SOURCES)
    Utility, Cable, Phone bill or Driver’s License (PLUS 1 copy of each)
  • MOST RECENT REPORT CARD
    2.0+ GPA required (PLUS 1 copy)
    Final End of Year Report Card 2.0+ GPA required (PLUS 1 copy)* 
    *No Later Than July 2012 
  • PICTURE
    1x1 head shot that will be kept by SCYFBC
  • PROOF OF MEDICAL INSURANCE
    Current documentation, ID card (PLUS 1 copy) 
    Military personnel only need ID card as proof of Military Insurance (PLUS 1copy)
  • PHYSICAL
    Physicals must be completed and signed by a licensed practicing Physician on SCYFBC Triplicate Form.  You may also download from our website (3 copies)
    Physicals dated prior to 2012 and those signed by a Chiropractor WILL NOT be accepted
