Two-Time Olympic Gold Medalist, Natasha Watley will host a softball camp on December 7 from 11:30 – 2:00 at Heritage Park in Simpsonville. Three wins in their final at bat, three wins by 1 run, and two wins in extra innings…just a walk in the park for the 2008 Little League Softball World Champs!! Trailing 5-4 and down to their last at bat, the Simpsonville Little League 11-12 Softball team scored 5 runs to take a 9-5 lead, and held of New Jersey to win the World Championship. The team went 6-0 during the tournament in Portland, OR. Congratulations Ladies…You’re WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!

Down to their final at bat and trailing 4-0, District 7 scored 5 runs to claim the Big League World Series Championship. D7 put together a series of hits and was helped by four Puerto Rico errors. USC bound Michael Roth’s bases loaded line drive to left field drove in the winning runs. District 7 went 11-1 in tournament play this summer, including four wins by a single run. Congratulations to D7 Big League…WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!!!
