pitching and defense help Titans win 5th

Solid pitching from Cody and great defense helped the titans win #5.  Cody pitched all 6 innings striking out 10 while only giving up 1 hit and walking 3.  The bats were silent again but the 4 hits and timely baserunning, proved to be the difference.  The game balls went to Cody for his pitching and to Daniel for his great work behind the plate.  Next up for the Titans is all american landscaping on Saturday.  Good teams find a way to win when they are not at there best.

great job

Titans suffer first loss

The sun was hot unfortunately the bats were not.  The Titans lost their first game of the season on saturday 6-5.  The team was not hitting and the pitching was good, but it couldn't make up for the silent bats.  We did have 2 good solo home runs by Travis and Dorrien, they were both hit well and were the first home runs for both.  I was proud  of the fact that we didnnt give up and thanks to Luke and Josh who both walked and stole bases the game ended with Luke at 3rd base representing the tying run.  The game balls went to Luke and Josh for doing such a great job putting us in position to win.  Titans good job fighting to the finish.

Titans win showdown with the A's
The Titans came to play and it showed on the field and in the box score.   The Titans notched there 4th win of the season beating the A's 10-0 on great pitching by David Walle and Dorrien Ossinger.  David worked 4 innings striking out 9 giving up no hits and walking only 2.  Dorrien came in and pitched 1 inning striking out 2 and walking 1 while giving up no hits.  The A's did a good job of keeing the Titans off the basepath the first 2 innings, but the bats came alive in the last 3 innings to help secure the win.  Game MVP went to David Walle for his outstanding work on the Mound.

Titans bats heat up
Titans had the bats working Saturday as they beat the Trident Red Sox 16-0 in 4 innings.  The Team hit great and it was capped by game MVP Derek Collins who hit a bases clearing triple to put the game out of reach.   The Titans are looking forward to there Monday matchup with the A's who are looking like one of the top teams in the league.

Titans pick up 2nd win

It wasn't pretty but good teams find ways to win when they arent at there best. The Titans downed the yankees last night in a walk filled game 15-11. The Titans found themselves down 11-7 in the bottom of the 3rd with patience at the plate and good base running they tied the game up at 11 with 2 outs. Conner Hines stepped to the plate with runners at 1st and 3rd and hit a hard ground ball up the middle for a base hit scoring Cody Cloud. The next batter was Travis Susee who hit a 2-2 fastball over the centerfielders head clearing the bases and then scoring on an errant throw to 3rd base putting the titans up for good. The top of the 4th became the last inning, because of the time limit and Cody Cloud made short work of it, striking out the first batter he faced and then getting a wea ground ball for the 2nd out. He then struck out the last batter to end the game. The Titans have 10 days off before the next game agaisnt Trident May 10th. Great job Titans for hanging around and gutting out a win.

Titans pick up their first win

The Titans started the season off right with a big win against the Atheletics. The Titan bats were hot scoring 12 runs in 4 innings while the pitching of David Walle kept the Atheletic hitters off the base paths. David gave up 2 runs in 4 innings of work. The Titans started the 1st inning with some great hitting and good base running to take a early 4-0 lead. The A's answered back with 2 runs and had runners at 1st and 2nd with no outs when Oscar Lepe turned a fantastic double play and David Walle struck out the next batter to end the inning. The Titans did a great job of hitting the ball tonight and are very optomistic about the season. Next up is game Wednesday April 30 6pm against the Yankees. Game ball goes to the team tonight for starting off the season with a win and David Walle gets the nod as the player of the game. He not only pitched well, but had a bases clearing triple in the 3rd and then scored on an errant throw to 3rd base. Great Job Titans
