Captain Morgan or Captain Kirk - They Both Work!

SCP 2013 KIRK MORGAN (East Carolina) has been named "CAPTAIN" of the South Charlotte Panthers 2013 team. Kirk represents the first player ever selected as a Team Captain in the SCP organization. Coach Hutchins announced this selection Labor Day weekend;  "Kirk has demonstrated outstanding leadership on and off the field over the past 50 plus games. Although we have had many outstanding team leaders in the past 14 years; Kirk has earned this recognition; demonstrating an unselfish team first attitude and going 100% every game for himself and his team. Congratulations to Kirk and his parents Mary Beth and Scott for this honor.

ATLANTIC COAST CONFERENCE

SCP 2009 RICHIE SHAFFER; Clemson University has been named to the ACC All Conference First Team for 3B. Richie is joined on the team by SCP 2010 BRIAN HOLBERTON; University of North Carolina who was voted to the second team at DH/Utility.

SOUTHERN CONFERENCE

SCP 2009 RYAN ARROWOOD; TYLER TEWELL and TYLER ZUPCIC; Appalachian State were each voted to the SoCon Coaches All Conference Second Team. SCP 2011 JAMIE NUNN; ASU was voted to the All Freshman Team. Arrowood was voted the So Con Pitcher of the Year by the So Con Writers Association in addition to Tewell being voted to the first team and Zupcic to the second team by the writers.

ATLANTIC SUN CONFERENCE 

SCP 2009 GAITHER BUMGARDNER; University of South Carolina Upstate was voted the Atlantic Sun Conference "PLAYER OF THE YEAR" in addition to First Team honors.

COLONIAL ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION

SCP 2009 MAT BATTS; University of North Carolina Wilmington was voted to the CAA All League Third Team and teammate COREY DICK was voted to the CAA All Freshman Team.

SCP 2012 JACOB ROTHMAN - Providence HS has signed to attend school and play baseball at MASSACHUTES INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY next year. Jacob was recently accepted into the prestigious school and will begin classes this fall. MIT plays in the NEWMAC Conference.

Logan joins fellow SCP 2013 players Jon Stires and Jeremy Schellhorn as the 49ers hit the "Motherload".

Kirk has helped lead the SCP 2013 team to 36-10-2 record over the summer season in addition to a Bronze Medal at the USA Nationals; Championship at the USA 16U Cup and Sweet 16 finish at the Perfect Game WWBA 16U. He will join the Pirates following his high school career at Mallard Creek High School and leading the Panthers in 2011 and 2012.

PANTHERS WIN DYNAMIC "END OF SUMMER" 18U CHAMPIONSHIP

SC PANTHERS 2012 (31-10-2)

The 2012 Panthers beat the Myrtle Beach Stars 6-5 in extra innings to extend their winning streak to 15 games and capture the Dynamic Baseball "End of Summer" Championship.

SCP 2013 WIN THE USA BASEBALL 2011 16U CUP IN CARY, NC

The South Charlotte Panthers 2013 team won the USA Baseball 2011 16U Cup in Cary, NC this weekend! The Panthers went 5-0 during the tournament, pitched three shutouts, and outscored their opponents 42-9. You can read more on the USA Baseball Website.

NATHAN HELVEY TO COLLEGE OF CHARLESTON 

SCP 2012 NATHAN HELVEY has committed to attend college and play baseball for the COLLEGE OF CHARLESTON. Nathan will join the Cougars following his senior year at Fort Mill High School where he will help lead the Yellow Jackets in 2012.

2012 JACKSON CAMPANA Providence High School has committed to attend school and play baseball at CLEMSON UNIVERSITY. Jackson has played in the South Charlotte Panthers program for two years and will help lead both the Providence and South Charlotte Panthers again in 2011.
