The Wood Bat Tourney is just around the corner.

When:  December 12th 7:30am - 9:30pm

Where: Gladstone Park, Azusa

Price:  $375 per team (subject to change) due 12/12/09

Who: Hope Lutheran, Community Christian Center, Village Covenant, Glenkirk I, GP II

Team entrance fee includes field rental, lights, umpire, 1-2 wood bats, softballs, field prep, scorekeeper.

Each team will play 4 games.  Top two teams by team record qualify for Championship game.

Same rules apply as during the normal season with a few exceptions:

1) Open roster

2) Only slow-pitch wood bats allowed. (As of now, no bamboo hybrids allowed and definitely no wood composite bats or baseball bats)

3) 18 foot limited arc

4) No cap on homeruns, hit as many as you like and have them all count!

5) 80 foot basepaths, 250 ft down left and right field lines.  275 to center field.

6) You break all your wood bats, you forfeit the rest of your games unless other team lends you a bat to play (additional bats available for purchase).

7) Game duration, 9 innings or 1 hour 5 mins (no new inning if less than 5 mins to go); whichever comes first

8) Not a different rule, but only 1 courtesy runner per inning strictly for injury.
