South Central Bank Lady Invitational of the South: Information About 2009

Interested in Playing in the 2009 SCBLIS?

     The 2009 South Central Bank Lady Invitational of the South is over a year away however the selection committee is already looking at teams to consider. Invitations will be extended as early as December of 2008. The committee hopes to have the field filled by the end of February.

     The 2009 SCBLIS marks the 26th year this tournament will be held at Allen County-Scottsville High School  The SCBLIS has a very rich tradition as being one of Kentucky's best girls basketball event. As you consider tournaments for your school, please note the following specifics about the South Central Bank Lady Invitational of the South.

     On average, eight invitations are reserved for team within a 75-mile radius of Scottsville. This is done to allow the best "local" teams the opportunity to play in a first class event close to home during the holidays. Starting in 2007, the tournament will help local teams with the travel expense of making the trip to Scottsville.

     The remaining invitations are extended to teams from across Kentucky and Tennessee. (On occassion, the SCBLIS will invite a team from other states as well.)  The SCBLIS provides teams from beyond the 75-mile radius of Scottsville with hotel accomendations.

     All SCBLIS participants receive tee-shirts, exposure to college coaches and the chance to play first class high school basketball.
