The Alliance is more than a softball team as the players contribute to the community both on and off the field. The team has hosted memorial tournaments and every year they donate to a variety of community causes. The Alliance, in association with Easton and Softball Magazine, hosts the World Series of Police Softball in Palm Springs which is an event that served as the proverbial golden spike to unite law enforcement softball from coast to coast. Team members Del Pickney and Jeff Blair also operate the national website www.policesoftball.com which has become the official undisputed source of law enforcement tournament softball. Jeff is also a contributing editor for the nationally acclaimed Softball Magazine www.softballmag.com and contributes a monthly article titled the, Cop Corner.
