Lady Eagles Remain Undefeated
After a strong start to the 2007-08 season the SCA Lady Eagles basketball team heads into the holiday break with a 10-0 record, with 4 of those wins coming versus PACC opponents. Dating back to last season, SCA has won 24 straight games overall (12 straight at home) and is 31-1 over their last 32. Due to the cancellation of the Washington Bible College Holiday Tournament our next game is January 8th vs Odenton Christian at home. We'd love to see you there.
SCA Wins Worcester Prep Tournament
The Lady Eagles won their second tournament of the young season on December 8th at Worcester Prep School in Berlin, Maryland. After beating an undermanned Wesleyan Christian 40-11 in the opener, SCA defeated Christian Tabernacle Academy going away, with 52-38 being the final score. Click on the 'Albums' tab at the top of the page for pictures and 'Schedule' for statistics from the tournament. Thanks to our parents and fans for supporting us.
Lady Eagles Win Harford Christian Tip-Off Tournament
Another milestone was achieved by the SCA girls basketball team this season when we won the Harford Christian Tip-Off Tournament in Darlington, Maryland. This marked the first tournament championship in several years for SCA and the first since the current coaching staff took over prior to the 2005-06 season. We defeated the host Harford Christian 42-24 on Friday, November 30 and then beat Red Lion Christian of Pennsylvania 36-23 the following day. After the completion of the tournament Nikki Meredith was awarded the trophy for winning the 3-point shootout as well as being selected to the All Tournament Team, and Jennifer Carr was chosen as Tournament MVP.
We'd like to thank all of our parents and fans for making the trip and supporting us all weekend. Despite having traveled the furthest distance we clearly had the best fans in attendance, both in number and support, and we appreciate that. Congratulations to the girls for a successful tournament and a great weekend that will be remembered for some time.

"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."
-Martin Luther King Jr
Anybody can do the right things and be a good teammate when things are going their way. When they're not, how do you react??
