Tigers Win The War With The Warriors!
The Tigers outlasted the St.Bernadette Warriors 33-25 this past Saturday for a thrilling Homecoming win. In a game that saw the lead change four times, the boys never gave up and ultimately scored the last two touchdowns of the game. Scoring for the Tigers were Bryan Gramajo on two runs and a nifty tailback option pass from Donald Curley, and Mike Thayer and Andres Gamboa with a TD run each. The bend but not break defense of Coach Tom Crivalone forced four turnovers, with linebacker Tyler Snee getting his second interception in as many weeks. Cornerbacks Tino Ortiz and Gramajo added one and two picks respectively. Leading the way in Tackles were Manny Bravo(8 tackles,2 sacks), Curley(6 tackles,1 sack), Mike Thayer(8 tackles), Gamboa(6 tackles), Aaron Stretch( 5 tackles,1 sack), Snee(5 tackles), Saul Pinal(4 tackles,1 sack), and Kyle Karpinski who had a all around day with 4 tackles,2 catches, and a extra point reception. Mario Aranda contributed with two hard hitting tackles on special teams deep in Bernadette teritory. With the win we are now 4-2 overall with a 3-2 conference mark. The boys will hope to continue the winning streak this Sunday against St.Catherines, and with one more win in the remaining two games , the Tigers will secure a playoff berth. Lets stay on a roll Tigers!
