Tigers Give Blackeyes To The Buckeyes!
Wow, Look who has won two in a row! The Tigers are realy starting to come around. St.Bedes beat up a pretty good St.Barnabas team 20-6 to earn thier 3rd win of the year. The scoring was provided by Bryan "Macho" Gramajo(2 TD Runs)and Tyler "Freight Train" Snee(55 Yard Interception). The smothering Tiger defense was the real story! The boys caused 4 turnovers, two of them leading to St.Bede scores. Leading in the Tiger Wall Of Pain were Nose Guard Manny Bravo with 7 tackles, 2 sacks, and a fumble recovery, Tackles Aaron Stretch (7 Tackles,1 Sack), Saul Pinal (6 Tackles,1 Sack), and four of the toughest linebackers in the league! Inside Backer Tyler Snee had 8 tackles, 1 sack, and a fumble recovery to go along with his pick. Inside Backer Alex Madrigal had 8 tackles, and Outside Backers Mike Thayer and Andres Gamboa had a great day with Thayer picking up 8 tackles and Gamboa checking in with 7 tackles and a fumble recovery. The dynamic duo at defensive end, Kyle Karpinski and Donald Curley pitched in 3 tackles each and Curley added a sack. Not to be out done by the big boys, corners Tino Ortiz and Bryan Gramajo chimed in with 5 tackles also. Scoring has gotten alot easier this year for our team because of excellent offensive line play. The big boys up front are center Devin "Tank Buster" Cheatham, guards Bravo and Stretch, and a trio of tackles known as Mario Aranda,Rudy Caballero, and Isaac Hernandez. Thanks Coach Paul and Coach Hardy for a job well done. Next up for the Tigers is Homecoming 2008 this Saturday afternoon against the St.Bernadette Warriors. With a win we will be right back in the hunt for a playoff spot. Game time is 1:30, hope to see alot of former Tigers and fans out there!
