The Tigers are a 4th/5th/6th Grade Tackle Football Team representing St.Bede The Venerable Catholic Grammar School in Chicago,Illinois. The Tigers play in the South Side Catholic Conference which is composed of teams from the South Side of Chicago and the surrounding South Suburbs. We generally field a team of around 40 5th and 6th grade boys and a Varsity Team of around 30 7th and 8th grade boys. We play 1 preseason game, and 7 regular season games, followed by a playoff format. With lots of hard work and sweat The Tigers have been fortunate to have made the playoffs 13 of the last 18 years advancing to the semi-finals 5 times. We have won two Divisional Championships in the last eight years, and have finished 3rd in the conference four times. FORMER TIGER QB CHRIS PAZAN IS NOW COACH PAZAN !
Former Brother Rice Quarter Back Chris Pazan, who was formerly the starting Tiger QB in 1995 and a former starting QB for the Fighting Illini is now the new Offensive Coordinator and QB Coach for St.Joseph College in Rensalear, Indiana. Chris also is the recruiter for the Chicago area. Look good Tigers and just maybe you might get scouted by a college coach! For more info on this story click on The Tiger News Link on the left side of this page.
Chris(on the right) on the sideline at Michigan after his first College start. He has changed quite a bit don't you think. For the 2004 season, Chris had very limited play but was still able to complete 37 0f 60 passes for 392 yards with 1 TD and 1 interception. Most of the players on the team felt that Chris should have been the starter that year, but for whatever reason Turner waited till the last game of the year against Northwestern to give Chris his shot. The Illini lost in overtime!

Mr. Touchdown! James Carney
Tiger Fan John Benoit loved James so much, he honored him with a tattoo on his leg! Way to go, John! Good Old number 2 never looked so good!
Be sure to watch the Apple Chevrolet Prep Report every Tuesday night at 10 p.m. on CLTV. This is a great show that mentions our team alot. The host is The Big Guy.. Tim Maher. Tim is a great guy that cares about the kids and he is a friend of our program. Visit his Website at www.bigguyball.net for channel availability in your area. The Tigers were on his show in 2002.
The Tigers lose to St.Mary Star of the Sea 32-0 to fall to 1-4 on the season!
The Tigers lose to the Spartans 32-0 in a game that saw two Tigers knocked out of action, leaving only 15 players to finish the game! The boys looked impressive last week with a 18-0 Homecoming win over St.Linus but could not post back to back wins.
Coach Burns Buys A Boat!
Coach Burns found a way to get away from the harsh world, he heads to the water baby! The B-MAN bought a 2004 Crownline 180 BR Bowrider. He is now a official Crownie and loves scooting around on the water.
