“4^th Annual Run-N-Gun”

DATES:       3rd-6^th                 SATURDAY, June 1st

                   7^th and 8^th           SUNDAY JUNE 2nd               

GRADES:

·       3/4^th:   Approximate times: 8:30am-1pm (SATURDAY)

·       5/6^th:   Approximate times: 1:30pm-5:30pm  (SATURDAY)

·       7/8^th:   Approximate times: 8:30am-12:30pm  (SUNDAY)

Kumpf Middle School

FORMAT:  Each team will get at least 3 games.  Games are 2- 12 minute halfs with a 3 minute half-time.  Total time per team at the tournament is 5 hours or less.

This tournament is for fun and a great way to wrap up the season on a positive note.  Scores and records will not be officially kept and games may end in a tie.   

Team Composition: 3/4^th teams may use any combo of 3^rd and 4^th, but bring balanced teams to keep the competition on an even level.  Please use the same philosophy for 5^th-8^th and 5/6^th and 7/8^th.  Consider this a “b” level tournament…   

We will have drinks and food, but teams are welcome to bring tents and coolers to keep a “home base”.  Keep your area clean. We will provide garbage bags.

PARKING: Available in the school lot and also along Mildred Terrace if there is overflow.    Carpooling suggested.

Monday 5:30 - 7:15 @ High School

Thursday - 5:30 - 7:15 @ Franklin

Clinic - TBD

Varsity - TBD

As you know, Lacrosse is truly a TEAM SPORT.  Each player is needed to be successful.   So, it is critical that the players are committed to attend all practices and games and be be there in a timely fashion.   We understand families have committments that will take precendence and ALWAYS understand that.  When these situations arise, we ask that the player inform the HEAD COACH that they will not be at the practice/game as early as possible.    

If you are going to miss a GAME, it is critical we know in advance.   We do not want to be embarrassed by showing up to a field and not having enough players to play.   The same way a parent would like to know from us that there was a change in time for a game or practice, we expect the same consideration when you are unable to attend.

First, we welcome you into our lacrosse family.   It is a program that prides itself on how much we devote our time to the children and give them more than just Lacrosse games.   Our program has always looked to do more.   The purpose for kids playing in town sports is not to see how many games they can win.   It much more than that.   We try and build character, pride in themself, teamwork, and respect.   We take this very seriously.

Well, we need your involvement in the program to make this happen.   Your involvmet will show your son that your are just as committed to their success as they should be.   We ask that you show support at the games, help at the field if needed, get to know the boys and their families.   Though this may sound trivial, it really goes a long way to a successful and fun experience for the players.   The repsonse to our pasta dinner shows that you all want to be involved already and that is AMAZING!!!!    

The stuff we may need help with is minor really and would not take much time at all from anyone.   Your cooperation/involvement is always appreciated.

Also, look for a Summer Sunday Kick ball league for the kids and possibly adults!!!!!  It should be a blast.
