The SAYS 8U All-Stars took second place in La Porte. The 'Heatwave' tournament was hosted by the Total Package which featured 10 other 8U teams from around the area, including a team from Austin, Texas. Without an 'if game', it was a win or go home situation for the SAYS 8U All-Stars and the Deer Park Dirty Dozen in the championship game. Playing from behind the entire game, the SAYS 8U All-Stars kept it close with good defense. In the last 1/2 inning, the SAYS 8U All-Stars made a late run at an attempt to win the game, but came up a run short to force a tie. Until this game, the SAYS 8U All-Stars were undefeated; including pool games. Way to go SAYS 8U All-Stars with another great showing!
