The following Souderton Braves were guests of the Bux-Mont Youth Football League's - 28th Annual Scholar Athlete Awards Banquet!

The following Souderton Braves recently were guests of the Bux-Mont Youth Football League's - 27th Annual Scholar Athlete Awards Banquet, that was held at Williamsons Restaurant in Horsham.

These Student Athletes were recognized by the Bux-Mont Youth Football League for their outstanding academic performance in the 2007 season.

Souderton Area Youth Football Association is proud to present our 2006 National Pop Warner All American Scholar award winners.

First row is Jason Skyrm (2nd Team All American for the second consecutive year) and Jack Widman (Honorable Mention).

Back row is George Horas (Scholastics Chairman), Brooks Inciardi (Honorable Mention), Victoria Bradshaw (Honorable Mention), Frank Antenuci (Honorable Mention) and Dave Antenuci (SAYFA President).

This honor is quite prestigious as only 1% of all Pop Warner football and cheer participants across the nation possess the academic, extracurricular and community service credentials necessary to qualify.

Congratulations on your outstanding academic achievements.

2006 Souderton Braves All-American Candidates
The following Souderton Braves students have been submitted as All-American Candidates for the 2006 season.

Jason Skyrm, 130 Football (2nd year in a row - named to 2nd team last year)
Victoria Bradshaw, 115 Cheer
Frank Antenuci, Brooks Inciardi, John Widman, 100 Football


To be considered, for these scholastic awards the candidates must have completed the 4th grade and have a 96% or better final grade point average. The 1st and 2nd teams will be announced in early 2007.

2005-2006 Pop Warner Little Scholars Announce Winners

4 Souderton Braves Receive 2005-2006 All-American Scholar Awards


Megan Katz (130 Cheer), Jason Skyrm (115-1 Football), Kyle Zacholski (100-1 Football) and Aaron Ray (100-2 Football) recently received news of their selection as 2005-2006 Pop Warner All-American Scholar Award recipients.

Megan Katz, Jason Skyrm, and Kyle Zacholski received Second Team Scholar Awards and Aaron Ray received an Honorable Mention Scholar Award. All 4 of these candidates ranked academically among the top 2% of all Pop Warner participants nationwide. Pop Warner Little Scholars will be holding its 46th Annual National Awards Recognition Program at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando Florida on Saturday May 27, 2006. First Team and Second Team Award recipients were invited to attend this national congratulatory event.

SAYFA announces 10 BuxMont Scholar Athletes and 4 All-American candidates for the 2005 year.

In addition to recognizing the achievements on the football field and auditoriums, Pop Warner football and BuxMont also recognizes those students that have performed well in the classroom. This year, BuxMont has named 47 students as Scholar-Athlete Program winners. Of these 47 students, 10 of them are Souderton Braves, and they are:
Rachel Brobst, 115 cheer Megan Katz, 130 cheer
Jon-Pat Carroll, 115-1 football Kyle Krajewski, 115-1 football
Joshua Clark, 130-2 football Andrew Ray, 115-2 football
Craig Fleisher, 130-2 football Jason Skyrm, 115-1 football
Sean Johnson, 115-1 football Joseph Stofli, 130-1 football
The requirements to even be considered are:
You must be 12 or older on August 1st, Your final grades must average to an 80% or B-, No final grade in a major subject lower than a C.

Souderton had approximately 60 candidates submitted to BuxMont for consideration.  A dinner will be held on January 21st to honor all 47 winners individually with 4 of them winning a $500 bond.  Candidates are asked to fill out a questionnaire that is then discussed with them at dinner.
