Dear Parents / Guardians,

Welcome to the home of Beachside Little League Baseball and Softball. Our goal is to promote a positive atmosphere that results in a fun and rewarding experience for all, while providing a learning environment to increase our childrens overall skills.

We are always looking for ways to improve our facilities and our little league program. Any suggestions you have as parents, managers, coaches or spectators are encouraged and greatly appreciated.

Volunteers & sponsors are key in keeping cost down and ensuring a positive experience for our players. Please help by doing your part.

A Letter from the President

Coaches and Parents,

As our games begin, the board wants to remind you about a couple of items with regards to umpires and game etiquette. Minor A and above will be using umpires (for most games). Our umpires are volunteers and are composed of both adults and teenagers. All of our umpires deserve your patience and respect. Just as our players are learning how to play baseball, many of our umpires are learning how to officiate a game.

No matter the experience level of the umpire, it is all but certain that calls will be made throughout the season that you may disagree with. These situations provide us with an opportunity to teach our players by example -- showing them that where we may not always agree with an umpires call, we must accept it and make the best of it.

At no time should negative or derogatory remarks be made to or about the umpires. In the event that an umpire has a problem with a spectator, the manager or coach of the spectator’s team will be brought in to warn the spectator. If an umpire feels that a spectator must be ejected from the ball park, they have the right to do so. Once a spectator has been ejected they must leave the ball park and cannot return accept to pick-up their player.

Where we do not expect this to occur, we do believe that it is important to remind everyone to be on their best behavior. As parents, we are our kids first teacher. We hope that together we can teach our players that the job of the umpire is a difficult one and where we might not always agree with their decisions we must show them respect and appreciate them for taking on the difficult responsibility of officiating the game.
