12 & U so far has been great
We have had a BUSY fall playing 8 tournaments between September and now with one more to go before our holiday break. We have made it to two finals and finished 2nd both times (both against teams that will be playing 14s in January). Our girls have accomplished soooo much in such a short period, we can do nothing be proud and amazed at all their hard work.

Fall Schedule
Our fall schedule has been decided (mostly) and has been posted to our calendar. We have a few -or- tournaments listed and we should know at least a week prior to the scheduled weekend which one we will be playing in. If anyone has any questions, give me call. Thanks.

WOW - We are officially 12&U - Its Hard to Believe
What an amazing run in 10&U, but it's now time to say goodbye to the 11" ball. With our Nationals over and the fall season beginning, we are officially a 12&U team. It's hard to believe how quickly our girls are growing. Before you know it, we will be traveling for college exposure tournaments. Well, goodbye 11" ball and hello 12&U. Let's all be supportive of our girls while we go through this change.
USA / ASA 10-Under Nationals - Johnson City, TN - What a Great Time - It was Awesome
We went to Johnson City and had a blast. Our Heat girls left it all on the field!!! We fought the weather and played some great ball. Congratulations to Victory USA out of California who won the tournament. Pics of the tourney will be posted soon.
A special thank you to all who supported the Heat. I hope this will NOT be our last trip to the ASA Nationals.
Heat Reading Program
We know how important reading is for success. In an effort to assist our girls, the team is enacting a Reading Program. This program will track the girls "AR" points and reward them for reading. Keep these few rules in mind:
- The girls should be reading books at or above their lexile level
- Books on tape are ok if, and only if, the girls are reading along with the tape
- Parents should request printouts from the girls teachers with the list of books read, lexile level, and test results
Ms. Shannon is in charge of this wonderful program and all questions, comments, concerns and updates should be presented to her.
Sarasota Heat Organization
We're getting bigger and bigger. Now with a team in the 8's, 10's (2 teams), and 18's (2 teams), the red, white and blue are taking over. Visit the 18's website and send a big thank you to Mark and Dawn for making all this possible. Good luck in your upcoming season, I know it will be fun to watch. Thank you again for everything, without you we'd still be floundering.
