SANTA CRUZ VOLLEYBALL CLUB: Welcome

We are about to begin our new club season....we are receiving an overwhelming response to our new MAVERICK program. It's incredible and it's going to be so much fun, all the coaches are so excited to introduce volleyball to our younger enthusiasts!! Remember this is a NO TRYOUT forum, we want ALL players to be able to comfortably participate and enjoy the season without any pressure. We will begin our registration process as soon as all the league teams are formed (most likely by the end of NOVEMBER). There's no need for interested Maverick players to attend this weekend's tryouts, unless they want to tryout for teams 14-18 years old.

Please check out the handouts section of this website we have the forms available for tryouts this weekend! It's more efficient to have forms ready by tryouts (not mandatory) plus $30 fee, to help initiate the season.

IT'S TIME FOR TRYOUTS WE WILL BE CONDUCTING OUR TRYOUTS STARTING

NOVEMBER 8th FOR 14S & 15S AND UNDER 2pm-4pm AT SANTA CRUZ HIGH GYM

NOVEMBER 8th FOR 16S & 18S AND UNDER 1130am-130pm AT SANTA CRUZ HIGH GYM

tryout fees will be $30. Forms will be available on website shortly and must be filled out prior to tryouts, we will have forms available on day but arrive at least 30 minutes to fill out and warmup.

SECOND TRYOUTS WILL BE HELD 

WEEKEND OF NOVEMBER 13TH DATE AND TIME TO BE ANNOUNCED

We know there are plenty of clubs out there to choose from, we only hope you research the club, check its experience, make sure there are reputable coaches that have had experience coaching, and make decision based on how much do you want to get out of your volleyball experience. Santa Cruz has been working hard every year to make sure all these needs are met. We don't solicite ourselves as diligently as others we want you to make a decision without pressure and because you know that Santa Cruz has a great deal to offer. 

We plan on having a team for every age group and each team will have 3 special tourneys one in Reno; this is a fun and wonderful opportunity for young players to experience and each year we have a blast with our teams and the club. The 17s/18s will have 3 tourneys that are set up for exposure to college recruits, it's getting out there and making sure you all have opportunities that you may not otherwise receive if you just play area alone. Recruits seek individuals that will fit there program and will look at a great deal of teams, not just the elite groups, but the ones with heart and determination, so if this is the route you're looking for we will be able to make sure you're individual skills are prepared and you're ready when you compete. Each team will have conditioning as well as skill oriented practices. We make sure you receive at least 4 hours a week or more of practice time. 

We are having a new program for younger players that might not be ready for the entire tournament schedule. The Mavericks will be a group of 10, 12 & 13 year olds that will receive 2 days of practice, clinics, camps, and will have opportunities throughout the 5 month season to participate in a league tournament. There are no tryouts every player is accepted at the fraction of the cost: $300(includes first month) for registration and $100/mo for 4 months. Each player will receive practice t's, a volleyball, registration in AAU/NCVA, quality coaching, and an opportunity to play in tournaments throughout the season January thru May.
