Sad announcement re: Death of Louis "Lou" Sousa
Schll Board & Extended Members,
It is with heavy heart that I tell you that we have lost one of our Homestead Coaches. Louis Sousa, Asst. Coach of the 2011 Juniors TOC Champion Rays died as a result of complications following an ATV accident. Coach Lou has been involved in little league baseball for over a decade. He joined our Homestead family three years ago when he began working with Vince Reyes Warriors Travel team.
Lou has selflessly coached many of our Homestead boys, including several of the children from current board members; Andrew & Timmy Reyes, Charlie Parry, Patrick Tolbert, and more. Obviously, there is very little we can do help the family in this time of grief and tragedy. Nonetheless, I have asked Vince to please share the information regarding services with us, so we can send flowers on behalf of the league.
I have asked to do everything possible to get our TOC Championship Sign in place before opening day ceremonies. As, I would like to acknowledge Lou's contributions to that team and our league and have a moment of silence in respect and rememberance.
