CITY OF SAN JOSE SOFTBALL LEAGUE

Effective at the end of the Fall 2010 season City Wide Sports will cease all programming and operation related to the adult sports programs and leagues.

On June 22^nd City Council voted to eliminate City Wide Sports (CWS). Facing a $118 million general fund shortfall the Department of Parks, Recreation & Neighborhood Services (PRNS) was challenged to continue providing quality services to San Jose residents in the 2010-2011 fiscal year.  In order to meet the budget demands, CWS eliminated some of the more popular programs including adult basketball, soccer & softball.
