Power Surge 99 went 5-1 in the Triple Crown Bracketologist Invite Only tournament in Escondido. Only the top 20 teams in the rankings were invited to play in this exclusive tournament. All the top teams were there, even the Batbusters Briggs who is the Number 1 team in the country.
Power Surge won their Pool going undefeated and was moving through the Bracket Play well when it met the Number 1 Batbusters. This is a game we had been waiting for since January. What a game. Power Surge in this observers opinion out played the Batbusters all the way up until the last inning. Leading 1-0 with one out in the last inning the Batubusters pushed across two runs to defeat Power Surge. Our team was disappointed and will play better and until the end the next time we see them.
All in all a great two weeks for Power Surge 99. A State Championship, and a great run in the Bracketologist Tournament going 11-1 the last two weeks. It is time for a well deserved weekend off and prepare to try to win a National Title in July.
By the way, Power Surge 99 has decided to go to both the Premier Nationals and the ASA Nationals. We feel it is a priviliege to have qualified for both great tournaments and need to represent Power Surge the Organization in trying to win a title or two.

Wow, who was that team in teal that went undefeated to win the coveted ASA SoCal State Championship. It was POWER SURGE 99 that's who. And they went undefeated and beat many very good teams along the way. No easy games. Just hard fought wins with every game a battle.
But these Power Surge 99 girls wanted it bad, wanted to be part of Power Surge's storied history. They now can say that they also won ASA SoCal States like other Power Surge teams have in the past. And winning this tournament is a huge success for our team as it is argueably the toughest tournament of the year. Great job ladies and lets keep going for a National Title.
Take a look at the bracket at ASA if you would like to see who we played and scores at: http://www.tournamentasa.com/i!/brackets/Results.php?TID=918&BSID=1355

Power Surge 99 had a great weekend playing at arguably the toughest Pre-National tournament of the year. Power Surge kept winning against some great teams and ended up undefeated going into the Sunday final day. We had a tough loss in the semis with only 4 undefeated teams left in the winners bracket. But we played well enough to finish in the top four out of the many teams entered.
We will keep improving and make a run at winning the Premier Nationals. Still much work to do, but we showed this past weekend that we can play with any team out there.

Power Surge 99 had another good weekend going 3-0 in a Friendly and beating another team ranked ahead of them in the Braketologist Polls. Power Surge 99 is now 13-0 for the season and is looking stronger and stronger each week.
Power Surge 99 scored 28 runs and gave up only 3 this past weekend. Things will get tougher for Power Surge 99 in the coming week as we will be playing in a 14u Friendly.

Power Surge 99 is really starting to come together. Playing well all this past weekend to finish 3rd place in the Inland Empire tourney. The pitching, defense, and hitting is doing great. We look for this team to really make a run for a National Berth come summer.

Our Power Surge tryouts were a huge success this year 2011. We had over 200 girls show up for our tryouts and all our teams are full to the brim, 18Gold, 18A, 16U, 14U97, 14U98-David, 14U98-Mike, 12U99, 12U00, and 10U. Nine teams and over 110 girls now playing for Power Surge. We look for great things from this great group of girls and parents called the Power Surge Family.
