Spartan Diamond Club & Sanderson Athletic Club

As our Sanderson Baseball Program prepares for the spring season we are gathering our resources, interests, and efforts to help make the upcoming season successful, exciting and enjoyable.
We will be having our first Diamond Club meeting of the year on Thursday November 1st at 7:00 in Room 113. At this meeting we will discuss: Dates for a workday at the field, projects to complete, fundraisers, scheduled and planned events, summarize of our summer baseball program, and various other items for the 2008 baseball season.

Below you will see a brief summary of the two organizations which greatly contribute to Sanderson Baseball and Sanderson Athletics. The summaries are provided to give you some insight on these clubs and what they do. The summaries fall far short of conveying their true value to the Sanderson athletic program but should provide some background information. The help of these two groups make Sanderson the community that it is – one that we all enjoy and take pride in.

About the Diamond Club:
The Spartan Diamond Club is an organization within the Sanderson Athletic community which serves to support to Sanderson Athletics, specifically the baseball program. It is comprised of parents with an interest in our program (Varsity and Junior Varsity) who share efforts to help make Sanderson Baseball an enjoyable, productive learning experience for all of our young men. In the past the Diamond club has helped organize parent meetings and meals, a pre-season lock-in at school, several student appreciation nights at the field, and put together orders for team apparel. They have also made huge contributions to our field helping give us a better ballpark for our players and fans. The Diamond Club works independently to provide some funding for the baseball program, and also the Sanderson Athletic Club. Many Diamond Club members are also major contributors to the Sanderson Athletic Club as we all work hard to provide the best for Sanderson.  


About the Sanderson Athletic Club:
The Sanderson Athletic Club is school-wide organization that works to support all athletic teams at Sanderson High School. It is made up of parents who help our athletic program though selling sponsor boards, concession sales, athletic program booklets, and season ticket passes. The Club also organizes field maintenance and support all athletic teams and coaches with the help of Athletic Director Bob Catapano. The Athletic club also organizes the Fall Barbeque, Fall/Winter/Spring banquets, as well as the purchase of letter jackets for our athletes.
