Print a copy of your online registration 2. Print, sign and fill in a medical release form (link to medical release form is on website) 3. Provide 3 approved forms of proof of residency (see list of approved documents on website) 4. Friday, January 2 2009 TRYOUT INFORMATION The final Tryouts Session for this season will be held at our fields on Saturday, Jan 17th at 9 AM. All players older than league age 5 are required to tryout. Note: Tryouts will be held for players league aged 6 and higher and will consist of hitting, throwing (pitching optional for ages 9-12), fielding and running. The managers and player agents will monitor the tryouts and assess each player in the skill categories. Players are assigned to specific teams and divisions through a draft process that begins with the Majors division and continues until all players are assigned to a team. Little League requires that each Majors division team consists of exactly 12 players (no more or less). Based on the number of players in the 12 and 11 year age groups (and possibly a few 10 year olds) and the skill assessments, we would anticipate from 3 to 5 Majors teams being created (36 to 60 players). Any player not drafted onto a Majors team would then be placed on the draft list for the Minors division. The Minors division has more flexibility on the size of the teams (typically we try to field teams with 11 to 13 players). Once the Minors draft is completed, any players not drafted would be on the Caps draft list. In this way, every player will be assigned to a team consistent with their age and skills. In most cases, players will be drafted into a division made up of players of their age (Majors is mostly 12 and 11 yr olds, Minors 10 and 9 yr olds, Caps 8 and 7 and Tee-ball 6 and 5). But each year, there are some 11's in Minors and 9's in Caps for example. The goal is to put the player in the division that will allow them to develop and enjoy the game and not be overmatched or create a potential safety issue. This year, our tryout schedule is set up so that a 10 year old player (for example) will run through the tryout one time in front of the Majors and Minors managers. Each player should only need to tryout one time. If they have the potential of playing up at a higher division than typical for their league age, both sets of managers will see their tryout and be able to consider drafting the player. Things to bring to Registration Along with the forms, ALL players (including returning players) need to bring their birth certificate. For all Minors and Majors players the player agent must have a copy of the birth certificate and the proofs of residency. You will also need to show Proof of Residency at registration. Please bring three of the following: 1. Valid Driver's License 2. Voter's Registration 3. School records 4. Welfare/child care records 5. Federal records 6. State records 7. Local (municipal) records 8. Support payment records 9. Homeowner or tenant records 10. Utility bills (i.e., gas, electric, water/sewer, phone, mobile phone, heating, waste disposal) 11. Financial (loan, credit, investments, etc.) records 12. Insurance documents 13. Medical records 14. Military records 15. Internet, cable or satellite records 16. Vehicle records Note: Example - Three utility bills (three items from No.10) constitute only ONE document. Plus the Medical Release Information, i.e., address & phone number of family physician, name and phone number of two emergency contacts, allergies or medical problems and date of last tetanus booster.
