Thank you to all of the girls that came out for the Illinois Outlaws 10U softball team tryouts. The Illinois Outlaws 10U coaching staff were pleased to see the amount of girls that came out and showed interest in becoming an Illinois Outlaw. The coaching staff finalized the 2007/2008 roster. Every girl in the tryouts did a great job and all of the coaches were proud of each and every one of you girls. Good luck to all of you and hope to see you soon. If you were not able to make a tryout for what ever reason and would like to speak with us about setting up a private tryout, please contact us A.S.A.P. The Illinois Outlaws is still looking for one more girl that primarily plays first base. GO OUTLAWS!

Coach Biography’s
Coach Tom Rogers currently lives in Chicago Heights, Illinois and works as a Violent Crimes Detective for the city of Chicago Heights. Coach Tom has been a Police Officer for the past 13 years. Coach Tom is married to his wife Jennifer and has three children together, Alexis 8, Ty 6 and Camden 2. Coach Tom started out as a kid playing baseball, football and ice hockey. Coach Tom went on to play all three sports in high school and then continued on to play college baseball. Coach Tom is currently the head coach for his son Ty's, Saint Jude Knights Travel Hockey Team. Coach Tom also coached boys baseball for the past three years. Coach Tom assisted the Illinois Outlaws in the 07 season for the 10U team along with coaching his daughter, Alexis' 8U girls All Star Team to two out of three (Hickory Hills & Midlothian) Tournament Championships taking first place. Coach Tom's motto is that no matter if you are a boy or a girl, once you hit the field you give 100% no, EXCUSES! "PLC PLC" (Practice Like a Champion and you will Play Like a Champion. Girls, good luck to all of you and hopefully I can get the opportunity to be able to coach you in the 08 season. GO OUTLAWS!
Coach Joseph Baranski currently lives in Chicago Heights, Illinois. He is husband of Sheila, Father of Susie (9), Katie (8), and Joey (5 months). Coach Joe has been employed as a School Teacher for the last 15 years. Coach Joe has been coaching youth sports for over 17 years. Coach Joe has been an umpire for girls softball for 20 years. He began coaching girls softball 5 years ago. Coach Joe comes to the Outlaws with a wealth of sports knowledge and a passion for the game.
Coach Tonya Schassburger currently resides in Dyer, Indiana and is employed by the Crisis Center of South Suburbia where she is a Director of Residential Services. She is a Certified Domestic Violence Professional, Licensed Child Welfare Specialist and ASEP Certified Coach in Illinois and Indiana. Coach Tonya attended Lewis University on a Softball and Tennis Scholarship. Coach Tonya started coaching girls recreational softball almost 18 years ago. Coach Tonya has also coached 6U and 8U soccer. She believes that determination and practice are the two main ingredients to success. We want to teach are players to win and lose gracefully and create memories and friendships that will last a lifetime! Coach Tonya was the Head Coach of the 2007 Illinois Outlaws under the General Management of Gary and Tammi Lagesse.
