U-6 DIVISION

LESSON PLANS

Note to coaches:

Lesson Plans are similar from season to season for two reasons:
1. New players join every season.
2. Repetition a season apart is good for the players.

The same old thing every week would bore them, but repeating an activity several months later is a good exercise for their bodies and minds.
Use the progressions in lessons to make the activity new and different for experienced players.

Note to coaches take 2:

Use what works for your group. Do not fear adapting the lesson to your group. Demonstrate when you can, rather than talk. If you have an older child playing soccer, let them help coach by being your demonstrator. Do not feel stressed to get every activity completed with full success. If it is not working, move on.

The most important thing to remember:
At the 30 minute mark, start the 3v3 game!
