Memphis Saints Lacrosse Club: About Us

Memphis Saints Lacrosse Club is a competitive boy's lacrosse club. Our mission is to teach the fundamentals of lacrosse while encouraging sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership and building self-esteem.  

Memphis Saints Lacrosse was founded by and is coached by David Taylor - Level 1 US Lacrosse Certified.

Memphis Saints Lacrosse started in the spring of 2001 with 26 players playing in the 7th/8th grade division (D1). In 2003 a 5th/6th grade division (D2) was added starting with 11 players. In 2006 the program had grown to a total of 70 players overall and has continued to remain at that level every year.

At the start of the 2008 season, D1 was renamed as Varsity and D2 was renamed as JV. 

Since 2001, Varsity (D1) has finished runner-up in the City Championship six times. JV (D2) were City Champions in 2006 and has finished runner-up three times.

During the 2007 season both teams had excellent results in tournaments - D2 were the champions of the inaugural Houston Middle School Tournament in Germantown, TN and D1 finished fourth at the McCallie Invitational tournament in Chattanooga, TN.

Memphis Saints Lacrosse Club has gone international. Two former players have moved to England and we had two brothers from Ireland playing JV in the 2008 season but have since returned to their native country.

Memphis Saints Lacrosse Club is the feeder program for Christian Brothers High School Lacrosse Club. Saints players continuing on with high school lacrosse have gone on to receive college scholarships in Division 1 (1) and in Division 3 (2) or play college club lacrosse. In addition, Team USA West had Saints representation while playing in Australia. 

Memphis Saints Lacrosse Club practices and plays home games at St. Louis School. On special occasions, games are played at Christian Brothers High School.
