Coach Jessica Salinas
Jessica Salinas-Brown
Coach Jessica has been involved in volleyball at various levels for over 20 years. Along with club volleyball, Jessica played high school ball at Highland HS and college ball on full scholarship at Laredo Jr. College. She has coached various club teams, and has also coached middle school boys and girls teams as well. She left briefly to serve as a contractor in Iraq with the marines, but came right back to the sport she loves upon her return. She most recently served as the assistant varsity and Head J.V. coach at Providence High School until she left to complete her degree in Education. Coach Jessica loves the game and prides herself on her coaching methods. She believes that structure, discipline, hard work, determination and a positive attitude are imperative in raising one’s game to a competitive level. The passion that Jessica has for the game and the enjoyment that comes with her team’s improvement mean more to her than any championship medal. Several of her former players have gone on to the next level at college or have even become club coaches themselves! Not only does she enjoy developing young players into skilled and competitive athletes, her goal is to help each athlete she encounters reach their best potential as a player. Coach Jessica has been coaching with SA Heat for 4 years.

Coach Jackie Faz
Coach Jackie Faz has been coaching club since she returned home from playing College Volleyball at Texas A&M International University in Laredo, TX. She graduated from Harlandale High School in 2004, playing Varsity VB all 4 years. She had various awards throughout her HS season. Her senior year she was 1st team All-City and player of the year selected by several San Antonio Sports Newspaper columnists. She began playing club volleyball at the age of 9 and was coached by Coach Jessica Salinas. She loves the sport with a passion. Jackie is always looking to help any athlete that is willing to learn. Coach Jackie believes that a player should constantly strive at improving their skills and should not be afraid of "hard work". She expects dedication, respect and always 110% once you step on that court!!!
