DATES & DIVISIONS: 

18 Wood, 18AA, 18A, 18 Rookie - Thursday, October 1 - Sunday, October 4, 2009

“Pool” Play consisting of 5 guaranteed games for 18’s, 25’s, 35’s, 45’s, 50’s, 55’s, & 60’s divisions.  Expanded playoff   format for all divisions.  (Expanded playoffs will be determined by the number of teams entered for each division, but we would   like to send 6 to 8 teams per division to the playoffs.  Meaning most teams will be guaranteed 6 games)

 

PLAYOFFS:    Quarter-Final if necessary; Semi-Final and Championship games.

 

CHAMPIONSHIPS: 

  18 Wood, 18AA, 18A, 18 Rookie - Sunday, October 4, 2009

  45 Wood, 45 Aluminum—Sunday, October 11, 2009 

  50 Wood - Sunday, October 11, 2009 

  25 Wood, 25 Rookie Aluminum—October 11, 2009 

  35 Aluminum, 35 Wood - Saturday, October 17, 2009

  55 Wood, 60 Wood - Saturday, October 17, 2009

 

AWARDS:  Champions:    Team trophy and NABA World Series Championship Rings

  Runner-up:    Team trophy and NABA World Series Championship Watches

  Pool Winner:    Team pool trophy 

  Championship Game Gold Glove:  Individual Gold Glove award for each Championship Game 

  Championship Game MVP:  Individual MVP award for each Championship Game

  Pool Game MVP:  Individual Game MVP award in each pool game for both teams

 

SPECIAL EVENTS: 

  1.  NABA Expo/B-B-Q.  Outside dinner held at Tempe Diablo.  Tickets are free to all tournament registered players;   Friday, October 9th for the 25, 40, 45 and 50 divisions; Sunday,   October 11th for the 35, 55 and 69 divisions.  The 18 division   will have a BBQ night on Saturday, October 3rd at Rawhide Steakhouse.

  2.  Baseball expo-trade show, Friday, October 9th and Sunday, October 11th

  3.  Home-run hitting & Bunting contest, Friday, October 9th and Sunday, October 11th.

 

ENTRY FEE:  Player fee:            $175   (Player fee if deposit is received before August 17, 2009)      

                                        $195   (Player fee if deposit is received after August 17, 2009)

 

               NOTE:  No teams will be accepted after September 11, 2009 deadline.  NABA reserves the right to refund and withdrawal any team who does not meet the final payment deadline.

 

  Entry fee includes an NABA commemorative tournament t-shirt for each participant, liability and medical insurance for each   participant, baseballs, MLB spring training fields and stadiums (no high school fields), 2 umpires per game, 5 guaranteed   games, expanded playoff for every division where applicable, awards for team pool winner, awards for team champion and   team runner-up, awards for individual champions, awards for individual runner-ups, giveaways at expo/BBQ, BBQ dinner for   each participant, expo-trade show with baseball manufacturers (exception, 18 division), tournament program and map, and   more.

 

DEPOSITS:  All teams must submit a $500.00 (non-refundable) deposit to reserve a place in the tournament.  The balance of the team fee   must be submitted by September 11, 2009.  All fees must be in money order or cashier check.  The NABA also accepts VISA,   MASTERCARD, and AMERICAN EXPRESS for your convenience.   

 

HOTELS:    350 rooms (King, Doubles, Triples, Quads & Suites) are being held for the NABA by four area hotel properties   (The Dobson Ranch—Mesa and the Fiesta Inn Resort—Tempe).    Information regarding hotel accommodations is located   on the next page
