Ross/Haney Labor Day Tournament
With the PAGS fall season upon us, the 2006 Ross/Haney Tournament provided us the opportunity to assess the effects of our pre-season conditioning and the impact of the High School diversion.

Our loss in the first game of the tournament against PSC Coppa highlighted our concern that the girls have not had the ability to work together as a team over the past couple of weeks due to their high school commitments. With a little focal adjustment, the Wissgirls came together and showed us the powerhouse they have become with awesome games against PA Classics, LANCO and FC Delco.

King of Prussia Tournament
2005-2006 Wissgirls
The Wissgirls kicked off the 2005 Fall season with a good warmup hosted by the King of Prussia Soccer Club. Our girls had a successful day against several of the Premier and 1st Division PAGS teams who were out to test the waters. Congradulations to Alisa who passed her first test as a goalie in a shootout situation with flying colors!

EPYSA Outdoor State Cups
The Wissgirls met Mechanicsburg FC Orange for the NCS State Cup Competition.   Our defense played a typically sound game and FC Orange scored the only goal of the game by capitalizing on a Penalty Kick just outside the 18-yard line.

Mechanicsburg is a defensively proven PAGS Premier Division team and, in that division, to come out on top of this team requires a great offense having their best day. The Wissinoming offense was significantly weakened earlier in the week when our two strongest finishers were benched due to injuries.

We look forward to meeting FC Orange again another day, with a full, healthy squad. Good luck to them in the balance of the competition.

2005 Hampden Girls Memorial Day Tournament
The Wissgirls have competed in Flight 1 of the tournment. For the Saturday preliminary, they played the CASA Thundercats and SAC Spirit. On Sunday, they revisited with Mechanicsburg FC Orange for the Semifinal.

Nether Providence Spring Challange
The Wissgirls cured their cabin fever with a great tournament at the Nether Providence Spring Challenge. They started off slow, but woke up in the 2nd half of their game against PAGS Premier Division TE Hot Socs. Then they showed us the championship team we all remember when they busted loose with an awesome battle against PAGS Cup Division PA Classics. Keeping up the momentum, they capped off the day with another successful clash against PAGS 1st Division FC Revolution.

THE CATCH PHRASE OF THE DAY....."GOOD TIMES, GIRLS, GOOD TIMES"...........

EPYSA Indoor State Cup

Steven C. Lamont Thanksgiving Tournament CHAMPIONS!
CONGRATULATIONS ON AN EXCITING THANKSGIVING TOURNAMENT!! The Wissgirls started off with a 0-0 tie against PSC Premier, who we played runner-up to in last year's tournament. This made our performance in the next three games critical as tiebreakers were goals allowed and bonus points for goal differential. The Wissgirls once again took it to the wire and with three exceptional games, brought home the championship trophy!! AWESOME JOB!!

2004 ICSL Division 1 CHAMPIONS!!
Congradulations on an well played Inter County season!! Our girls were on their way to a 10-0 season with a 5-0 record. WHEN YOUR HOT, YOUR HOT! Then the injury factor kicked in and, although they never gave up 1st place, it slowed them down. Once we were recovered they took it to the wire, and finished the season with a win over Buckingham to give them a 7-1-2 record and an untouchable 22 points.

2004 U-15 Dept. of Rec. CHAMPIONS!
The benefit of the hard work and dedication that the girls put in these past couple of years became very apparent in the Department of Recreation League this year. After having brought home championships in their own age group for the past three years, the girls rose far beyond our expectations, and went undefeated, allowing only one goal the entire season, playing for the first time in this league in an age group above them.

Hamilton Tournament
2004 Hamilton
In a 14 team division, the Wissgirls revisited with two teams we have seen this past year in tournament.
Saturday morning we played the Lawrence Stingrays, this time coming out on top in a 2-1 victory. After a long layover, the girls met for the first time the Jersey Knight Storm and successfully overcame them in a 2-0 victory.
Sunday morning we once again met the Hempfield Xtreme and although we narrowed the the goal differential, we were defeated in a 1-0 game. We look forward to meeting Hempfield again.

Ross Haney Tournament
In our first tournament of the 2004 fall season, the Wissgirls stacked up against the Montgomery SA Rage, Hempfield Xtreme, and our old friends at PSC. The Wissgirls lost to the tournament champions, Montgomery, in a well played 2-1 game.

Rock League
Wissgirls finish the spring league in the middle of the pack. We look forward to seeing Hulmeville, Warrington and Council Rock Storm again in ICSL 1st division in the fall.

Memorial Day Weekend Tournament
Thanks to a well played game with an early goal by Kristin and a perfectly placed high arch shot by Linsey, we contained STN Royals in a 2-2 tie.

Our game Saturday afternoon against Oceanside wasn't as pretty, but also ended up in a tie with no goals allowed, cutting off our chances for the final.

Sunday afternoon was a 2-0 victory over the battered Fairfield team. Jill found the net in the 1st half to get things started and Liz put some great english on the ball from the corner to put it in the net the 2nd half.

Thanks to Megan Tole for coming out to help out, it is a pleasure to have you.

YMS Epic Tournament
Congradulations to Spirit United Surge for cleaning up in our division at the YMS Epic tournament.

Our Saturday's early achievement over SCCSA Hornets went downhill with Alisa and Kristin pulled from our second game against PSC Premier due to head injuries.

Thank you to all of the players and parents who showed their flexibility, dedication and support in representing our team amidst the scheduling confusion of our Mother's Day game.

2004 Southhampton Easter Eggstraveganza
After a triumphant tournament last year, Wissgirls gave to little to late. The girls started off the tournament with a 0-0 tie against Pheonix Flames and continued along that path with a 1-1 tie against our old rivals from the fall season, Whitpain Wave. They finished it off with a 2-0 win against V/E to end up as runner up in the tournament. We will get it back.

Chevy Challenge Cup
Our first Cups game was a well played game against a strong Spirit United Surge.

Our second game vs Manheim Twp Charge was a 1-0 victory. Congradulations on some of the best teamwork we have seen this season.

Wyoming Valley Sports Dome
Wissgirls have loads of fun playing in the Wyoming Valley Sports Dome. A little competition against Lower Dauphin (0-1), West Chester (1-1) and Harleysville (8-0) brought them to the playoff round where Hershey stopped them in a 1-0 game. We'll be back next year!
