Ryle 6, Boone County 4 (District Seeding Game)

Ryle survived the final two innings of Tuesday’s scheduled district game, holding off Boone County, 6-4 on Wednesday. The game had been suspended in the 5th inning on Tuesday due to rain.

Senior shortstop Tyler Lonnemann came in with two on and one out and the Raiders leading by two in the top of the seventh, and recorded a ground out and a strike out to earn his second save of the season.

Senior center fielder Thomas Baumann singled home two in the bottom of the first to open the scoring for Ryle. Lonnemann’s two-RBI single and junior left fielder Mason Forbes’ run-scoring double in the second inning made it 5-0.

The Raiders win the District 33 regular season title and will face Cooper in the first round of the district tournament. .
