HITTING
LEADERS:
RECAP: Raiders pound out 17 hits in 5 innings as they record win #20 on the season.

4/24

Moeller

    Loss

7-2

Goodridge

HITTING
LEADERS:
RECAP: A tight ball game goes astray in the 6th inning for the Raiders when Moeller scores 4 runs
in the 6th inning.  Six Ryle fielding errors were the difference in this ball game. Goodridge
was outstanding and kept the best JV team in the Greater Cincinnati area off balance all
day with his curve and changeup.

4/26

Tates Creek

Loss

6-0

Turner

HITTING
LEADERS:
RECAP: An ugly, error-plagued 5-run 2nd inning was the beginning of a bad weekend for the Raiders
and they were unable to do anything offensively against 2 hard-throwing Tates Creek
  pitchers.

4/26

Lex Dunbar

Loss

8-1

Vickers

HITTING
LEADERS:
RECAP: The second game of the Dunbar Tournament wasn't much better than the first game.
Another ugly inning, marked by walks and errors, staked Dunbar to a 4-0 early lead.  The
Raiders again did very little with the bats and Dunbar added 4 more runs late to make it a
one-sided affair all the way around.

5/1

Cooper

Loss

9-1

Allen

HITTING
LEADERS:
RECAP: Raider bats still ice cold against a solid Cooper pitcher.  Ryle now on a 4-game losing
skid and have scored 2 or less runs in 4 of last 5 games.

5/2

Highlands

Win

3-1

Goodridge

HITTING
LEADERS:
RECAP: Alex Goodridge hurls an absolute gem, allowing only a first-inning run and then completely
shutting down a strong-hitting Highlands team.  Logan Reiman provided a huge 2-run single,
as well as some fine fielding plays.  Logan Turner also contributed a big-time play in CF that
thwarted a late inning rally by the Bluebirds.

5/5

Simon Kenton

Win

10-0

Turner

HITTING
LEADERS:
RECAP: Logan Turner looked like Cy Young and was in complete control the entire gameHe got
some Ozzie Smith-type fielding support from Logan Reiman and some very timely
hitting from the Roe duo, Bryant Meihaus, Noah Gayhart, and Reiman.

Goodridge

HITTING
LEADERS:
RECAP: Trent Mills pitches whale of a game, allowing no runs for 6 innings.  Raiders get on board in
6th inning on huge RBI single by Logan Turner and eventually take 3-0 lead.  Unfortunately Raider
relief runs into trouble in the 7th and Beechies tie score at 3-3.  Ryle plates two in the 8th inning
on sac fly by Alex Goodridge and squeeze bunt by Andrew Huff.  Goodridge slams door shut in
the bottom of inning and gets the win.

5/9

Highlands

Loss

10-6

Roe

HITTING
LEADERS:
RECAP: Not the finish to the regular season the JV team was seeking, as a 6-3 lead after 4 innings get lost
and the Raiders fall to Highlands 10-6.  Starter Zach Kirschler pitched 4 solid innings, but the relief
corps couldn't quite contain the Bluebirds.  Matt Roe had 3 hits and Nick Townsend had a big
double, but the Raiders did little against Highland's third pitcher, who threw the final 3 frames.

Goodridge

HITTING
LEADERS:
RECAP: Alex Goodridge was crazy good from the mound, outdueling Cooper's ace pitcher.  Goody threw
a complete game, 3-hit shutout and received solid defensive support behind him.  Trent Mills drove
in two runs in the first inning and Andrew Louden doubled and scored in the 4th and Ryle rode
Goodridge's arm to an impressive opening round 3-0 win.
