Highlands

Loss

7-6

Vickers

HITTING Nishimura: 2B
LEADERS:
RECAP: Raiders versus Bluebirds in a rematch of last year's JV championship.  Raiders fell behind early
but kept fighting back.  Down 7-6 in the final frame, Ryle had men on first and third with two out
and tried to sneak across the tying run on a walk-off steak, but Highlands defended it perfectly.
Ryle bats were ice cold to start the season, getting only two hits, both by Nishimura..

3/24

NCC

Win

2-0

Demler

HITTING Jackson: game-winning RBI single
LEADERS:
RECAP: Raiders get into the win column behind the combined no-hit pitching performances of Demler
(4 inn) and Jackson (3 inn).  The Raiders only mustered three hits themselves, with Jackson's
first inning 2-out, RBI single being the most important.  The pitchers were backed by some
solid defensive support, including several nice plays by RF Vickers.

3/30

Anderson

Loss

11-0

Spiritoso

HITTING Adkins: 2B
LEADERS:
RECAP: Spiritose pitched well, but a close game fell apart in the 4th inning, as Ryle errors allowed
5 unearned runs in the 4th inning.  The Raider bats were deathly silent save for a 6th
inning double by Atkins.  Anderson tacks on multiple runs in the 6th and 7th innings, aided
  again by sloppy defensive play.

3/31

Win

9-5

Demler

HITTING Nishimura: 2-5, 2 RBI; Huff: 2-4, 2 R; Atkins: 2 RBI; Turner: 3 SB

Ryle scores 4 in the first, but Conner gets 3 of their own as a result of poor fielding.  Demler
buckles down and holds Cougars scoreless through the 4th.  Raiders cross the plate four more times
in the 5th to take a 9-3 lead.  Jackson comes on in relief to finish the game and allows only
one hit and one unearned run.
