Beavers finish season strong....but just short of a .500 record
The Beavers faced the NJ Indians early in the day at Milt Campbell. The Indians were fighting for the playoffs, but the Beavs played spoiler and the offense was hot as they scored a season high 12 runs.
The Beavs then headed to Newark to face Las Aguilas who were fighting for a #1 seed in the North. The Beavers offense continued to click, and chased a great pitcher Lloyd from the hill early....taking a 5-0 lead. But las aguilas proved why they are atop the division, and their offense was unrelenting....breaking through for 7 runs in the 6th.
Overall a solid year for an improved Beavers squad.
