New Rule on Composite Bats for 2012
The Riverhead Little League Board on Feb 8th, 2011 passed a vote to ban all composite bats for the 2011 baseball season. Regardless of any bats approved by Little League International.
This years bats can be BBCOR. 2 1/4 inch little league approved.

Eastern Baseball League has formed a Rookie League for the Summer and Fall Seasons!
EBL will provide the opportunity for Little Leagues to enter teams in 4 different age groups.
5-6, 7-8, 9-10 and 11-12 yrs. old. Boys Baseball
7-8, 9-10 and 11-12 for girls Softball
Individual players welcome as well!
EBL’s Rookie League will provide a Travel Ball experience by offering Little leagues to play each other in a non-competitive yet developmental and fun environment. Ebl’s Rookie league will follow Little League rules so that players will have fun and continue to develop their skills at the same time.
The Rookie Season – 12 games –no playoffs. June 17th thru July 29th
Registration deadline is May 19th.
EBL’s Rookie League Registration is $80.00 per player. Players will receive a Shirt and Hat included in registration. Teams can register a minimum of 12 players and a maximum of 18 players per team
Registration fee includes umpires. The 5-6 yr. old age group will not have umpires and will be a coach pitch division.
At the end of the Summer Season, each player will have the opportunity to enter EBL’s Skill Challenge and Home Run Derby! Cost $10.00 a player.
The EBL Skill Challenge will be a day of fun for players and parents. Players can compete in their age group for a Pitching, Hitting and Running competition and a unique Home Run Derby in each age group! Win Prizes and Awards.
