The Sports Parent Network

Many parents ask: "What can I do to help my child get the most out of youth sports?"

The Sports Parent Network believes parents can help their children develop five assets that will help them gain the most from youth sports, including:

  • Self motivation

  • Good sportsmanship

  • Physical fitness

  • Mental readiness

  • Sport-specific skills

A child who has these assets is going to enjoy sports more, be a better teammate, get the most out of their natural talent, and be a pleasure to coach.  More importantly, many of these assets can be carried beyond sports and help children become better citizens as adolescents and adults. This web site identifies a number of things parents can teach their children to help them in youth sports and beyond.  Check out the site today!
