2009 RUSSELLVILLE CHRISTMAS PARADE
The 2009 Russellville Christmas Parade has been set for Thursday, December 3 at 6:30pm. The theme will be “Winter Wonderland”. Parade entry forms are available at the Recreation & Parks Department office at 1000 East Parkway, Russellville or you may click on the link below. The entry fee for a float is $25 and a commercial entry other than a float is $100. All parade participants must submit an entry form. The deadline to enter is Monday, November 30 at noon. Due to time constraints, entries will not be accepted past this time. For more information call the Recreation & Parks Department at 479-968-1272.

It is easy to become a sponsor for the new disc golf course at Pleasant View Park. The cost is $300 which covers the first three years. Click on link below to download the application for you or your company to sponsor a hole on the course. Contact the Hughes Community Center at 479-968-1272 for more information.

TROUT DAY 2009
The CADDIS Fly Fishing Club, the Russellville Recreation and Parks Department, and the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will host TROUT DAY 2009 on Saturday, December 5, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. to noon at Pleasant View Park. A fishing license and trout permit (stamp) is required for persons 16 years of age or older and all trout regulations will be enforced. The limit of five Rainbow Trout will apply for this seasonal trout fishing event. For more information, call the Hughes Center at 968-1272.
A Basic Trout Fishing Clinic will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2009 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hughes Center. The Clinic is free and a free rod and reel voucher will be given to the first 50 kids who are 15 years or younger who attend the Clinic. For more information, call the Hughes Center at 968-1272.
