Rhinebeck 5, Dover 0
The U9 Raptors team grabbed its first win this season in a shutout match vs. Dover Thunder, 5-0. Leading 2-0 at the half with goals by Alex Salchert and Lex Kronbichler, the Raptors received some key saves from Roland Lipscomb who played in goal the entire game. In the second half, solid defensive play by William Kantaros, Reid Hues and newcomer James Beeler helped quicken the pace of the game with three goals tallied by Salchert, Matt Flanagan and Quinn Graziano. Rhinebeck 1, South Ulster 1
The U10 Rowdies battled to a 1-1 tie against a tough and talented South Ulster team. Usually a solid defenseman, Alec Gautier made his debut at mid in the second half and earned his first assist with a fine cross to a waiting Zach Matthews. Jackson Blomgren and Elias Econopouly shared duties tending goal, and both of them kept the Rowdies in the game with some great saves. Rhinebeck 3, Cortlandt 0
The U11 Rovers team shut out Cortlandt on their own turf with some smart passing and aggressive defense. Natalie Hutchins scored the first goal with an assist from Josh Martin, then tallied an assist when she crossed to a waiting Ryan Euell. Ethan Babirad, playing solid defense, then booted a long ball right to Cameron Mimoso, who found the back of the net. Defenders Chris Cassens and Sam Pomichter demonstrated stellar skills in keeping the Corlandt team scoreless. See the Rhinebeck Rovers U11 team page for prior game summaries.
Rhinebeck 3, Yorktown 1
The U12 Rhinos won a hard fought road victory against the Yorktown Wildcats by the score of 3-1. After a scoreless first half, the Rhinos scored first when Ian Katomski converted a cross from Eric Rodriguez after a long pass from Aidan McKibbin-Vaughan early in the second half. After Yorktown equalized, the Rhinos pulled away with goals by Renny Graziano and Eric Rodriguez. The defense was anchored by Sean Martin and Andy Rosenzweig, while Fionn Murphy and Olivia Breen played their best game of the season. See the Rhinebeck Rhinos U12 team page for prior game summaries.
Beekman 4, Rhinebeck 3
The U13 Rebels played a scrappy game against the visiting Beekman Devils, coming up just a goal short. The Beekman team opened a 3-0 lead in the first half, but the Rhinebeck squad came storming back with a goal by Tivon Carson before the half, assisted by Moorea Martin. Seth McClenahan added two goals in the second half, one on an assist from midfielder Brandt Slayton, and the other on a penalty kick. Kory Hutchins played a strong game at stopper, with midfielders Malcom Ransome, Kenny van de Mark, and Michael Flanagan also playing smartly. North Salem 2, Rhinebeck 0
The U14 Rhinebeck Riot lost a hard played game to the North Salem Eagles. In the first half the Riot were all about defense led by Tigges,Henke,Hoffman and Babirad allowing only 3 shots on goal. Halftime saw the score tied at 0. In the second half the Rhinebeck offense came out strong and aggressive with some great play by Hoynes, Mimoso and Euell but were unable to capitalize. Summer Camp Wraps Up -- The New York Red Bulls Training Program summer camp concluded on Friday August 29 at the Baptist Home fields. Over 100 RSL players participated! Check out the group photo at MY SITE NEWS .

The Rhinebeck Soccer League is a nonprofit organization under the laws of the State of New York dedicated to providing youth of the Town of Rhinebeck, and of neighboring areas, an opportunity to play soccer, have fun, and there through learn principles of good sportsmanship, fitness, honesty, teamwork, and respect for authority. RSL is a member of the East Hudson Youth Soccer League. The EHYSL coordinates travel matches for developmental and competitive teams in Dutchess, Orange, Putnum, Ulster and Westchester counties. East Hudson provides annual training for our coaches, hosts regional tournaments, and runs a select program for our more committed and capable players. EHYSL is a member of the East New York Youth Soccer Association which in turn is affiliated with the United States Youth Soccer Association. ENY coordinates regional tournaments and premiere leagues for teams as well as Olympic Development Program (ODP)for exceptional players. Through our local activities and our linkages to EHYSL and ENY, we are able to provide a wide range of soccer opportunities for our members. US Youth Soccer - The Game for ALL Kids!® is the largest youth sports organization in the United States and largest member of the United States Soccer Federation, the governing body of soccer in the United States. US Youth Soccer registers more than 3.2 million players annually, ages 5 to 19, and over 900,000 administrators, coaches and volunteers in 55 member state associations. US Youth Soccer programs provide a fun, safe and healthy environment for players at every level of the game.
