All players ages 9 and up must attend at least a scheduled tryout in order to be eligible for the Spring 2012 draft. Any 8 year old wishing to be considered for Minors B placement must also attend a tryout session.

At Canyonside Recreation Center baseball Field 2 has been dedicated as the John Huston Field in honor of his commitment to the Rancho Penasquitos Little League. John was actively involved with local youth sports and served on the Rancho Penasquitos Little League Board for many years. He managed or coached all of his son's Little League and Pony baseball teams. Everyone who knows John considered him as one of the most polite, caring, friendly, charming and considerate persons they knew. John was an incredible, loving husband, father, son, brother and friend who will be missed dearly.

2012 Bat update
As noted in our e-mail message yesterday, we have posted an announcement regarding upcoming changes to the bat rules and specifications for the 2012 season.
