Usually uniforms are turned in at the banquet for those who are not going to Pottsville, but if you aren't going to be at the banquet, you may turn your uniform in on Tuesday, June 10 at the snack stand from 6:00 to 7:00.  Please remember if your uniform is not turned in your check will be cashed.

Arielle Brown finished 1st in the 100m Dash (Girls 13-14 age group)

JOIN US AND LEARN ALL YOU CAN ABOUT TRACK AND FIELD AND HAVE FUN DOING IT. PRACTICES ARE A COUPLE OF NIGHTS A WEEK WITH MEETS ON THE WEEKENDS. TRACK WILL NOT TAKE PRIORITY OVER OTHER TEAM SPORTS.

Rough Rider Youth Track kids place in State Finals and Jr. Olympics

Congratulations to Alex Brown,Olivia Brown,Victor Embardino & Anthony Brinkley who traveled to Happy Valley, Penn State University and did a great job in the Hershey Track & Field Youth Program State finals! Alex Brown finished in 6th place in the 200m Dash, Olivia Brown finished 4th in the 200m Dash and finished 5th in the 100m Dash, Victor Embardino finished 5th in the 800m Run & Anthony Brinkley finished 6th in the 400m Dash. The kids and parents had a relaxing time at the hotel the night before the meet.

Rough Rider Youth Track kids head to PSU

place in the Hershey Track & Field district finals at Pottsville PA they are now headed to State College for the state finals. Alex Brown placed 2nd in the 200m Dash with a time of 29.73 in the 11-12 boys age group. Olivia Brown placed 1st in the 200m Dash with a time of 32.85 and place 2nd in the 100m Dash with 15.38 in the 9-10 girls age group Victor Embardino placed 2nd in the 800m Run with a time of 2.50.10 in the 11-12 boys age group and Anthony Brinkley placed 3rd in the 400m Dash with a time of 1.14.84 in the 11-12 boys age group now the kids will run against the best that qualified in the Hershey Track & Field Youth Program in Pennsylvania.

Congratulations to Jimmy Deily who placed 4th in the 100 Meter Dash & 5th in the 50 Meter Dash in the 9-10 age group, Steph Schlofer place 6th in the 100 Meter Dash, in the 13-14 age group Arielle Brown placed 3rd in the 100 Meter Dash in the 11-12 age group and Kyle Winkelspecht placed 4th place in the 400 Meter Dash in the 11-12 age group who have advanced and placed in States at Penn State and on July 10. That's awesome!

Track and field for ages 4 to 18. A USATF MEMBER CLUB with Indoor and Outdoor teams. Introduced free evening recreation program in 2002. Encourage pickup games for kids where they learn leadership skills and have fun. Home events are held at the Catasauqua High School Track

joecatty@yahoo.com This is also the website for Catasauqua Area Police Athletic League that supports us by allowing kids to practice indoors during the winter at Salem UCC Church prior to the indoor meets. Many of our athletes take part in both associations. For cancellation of track meets please call Info-Tell(610)821-8300 then category number 9387 We are a non-profit organization and are seeking funding, because no child is ever refused due to a lack of finances.

The Club was formed in 2001 by Joe Zemba at a Saturday Rec Basketball game at Lincoln Gym.Joe recalls "My wife and I were talking to Deb Alkhal that our son Chris liked track but didn't like driving to away meets all the time." We approached former CHS athletic director Jim Angeline who thought that the high school needed a feeder program.That's when head coach Mike MacLaughlin got involved. He stressed make it be fun and find a way to reward the kids. He personally donated a turbo javelin and got us ribbons. We had ninety kids sign up.
