ROUGH CUT BASEBALL, INC.
Rough Cut Baseball, Inc. will organize a league for 13-14 year olds with the determining date for age being May 1, 2007. No player may reach the age of 15 years prior to that date. The Rough Cut Baseball League is dedicated to improving the youth sports experience and providing a recreational outlet for as many youths as possible in our community. Our interest is in the total youth. Teaching them sportsmanship, the fundamentals of baseball, and how to win and lose are important aspects of this process. Our goal is for all participants to have fun. Coaches and parents must recognize their important role in this process and act accordingly. No individual player applications will be accepted in the program. Volunteer coaches, approved by the Rough Cut Baseball League Board of Directors, will form teams and accept responsibility for managing said team. Coaches who are selected to coach in this program will have the choice of selecting their participants. COACHES CERTIFICATION Anyone wishing to coach in the Rough Cut Baseball League will be required to file a Coaches Information Form, Coaches Contract Form, and Coaches Commitment Form to the Rough Cut League Board of Directors prior to the date set for that filing. Coaches applications will be screened and a majority vote of the Board will be required for acceptance into the program. Head coaches/managers will be notified immediately following the Board of Directors meeting. All information gathered on coaches applications will be held by the Board in confidence. The following restrictions apply to all registered head coaches/managers: A: The head coach/manager of the team must attend in full 50% or more of the registered team's games. B: The head coach/manager of the team must attend in full 50% or more of all league meetings or functions not directly associated with the team's assigned games. C: Further, understand that violation of the above rules will result in expulsion of that individual from the league at the completion of the season, and will affect future consideration for league participation. The Board of Directors felt these restrictions were necessary to provide equal opportunity to all applicants to this league and to maintain control of league eligibility at the Board level as intended in the rules of the league. FINANCES Finances for the purchase of equipment and uniforms and for the league entry fees must be secured by the volunteer coach and must meet league guidelines. Sponsors may be sought for this purpose or the cost may be distributed among the parents of the participants as decided by the head coach/manager. TEAM ENTRIES Teams will be accepted upon approval of the Rough Cut Baseball League Board of Directors. Maximum roster is fifteen (15) players. Minimum roster is twelve (12) players. A team head coach/manager reserves the right to release players. A player released prior to the start of the season (Opening Night, April 20, 2007) may register with another team. No roster changes are permissible after the start of the season (Opening Night) without Board of Directors' approval. If a team loses a player after the start of the season due to injury, and has less than eleven (11) players, then that team may add a player. Team entry forms and player contracts, as provided, must be used for filing a team entry. All forms, contracts, fees, and proof of birth documents must be filed as per the following dates set forth by the Board of Directors. |
