Eariler this week, 69th St player was severely injured during a practice.  As you can imagine our friends from 69th St are devastated, to say the least. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers for this kids recovery.  The Colts we hope nothing but the best for this young man.

Photo ID's are required to participate in Bert Bell for football players in pads AND cheer leaders above the mascot level. The next make up date for pictures is September 2, 2010 from 6 pm to 7pm at BYC. Pleace check under field location for directions.  If you do not have your picture ID's taken care of, you will not be able to play. Kids that need them are those who are; new to the program, first year in pads, or whose ID is more than 4 years old. Typically this includes mostly 80, kids playing their first year at 120 level, and girls cheering at the same level. An original birth certificate plus $2 are required. No hospital certificate or copy will do. Also any government paperwork for foster kids or adoptive kids or other special circumstances, but they must be original.  If your not sure, check in with your coach. We will need a few volunteers to help check roster to see who needs them, tomorrow would be great. You can sit in the shade and I'll buy you a Slurpee. To stress the point, if your son or daughter does NOT have an ID, they will not participate, and they are checked weekly. Flag players and mascot cheer do not need ID's.
