August Info ~ Fundraisers, Meets, Uniforms



UNIFORMS

We need to order uniforms by this week in order to have a chance of getting them for the first invite on September 10th. Please get order forms in by this Friday at the latest. Orders can be made now but need to be paid for by August 25th if you are ordering. Remember ordering any gear is OPTIONAL.

Fundraisers

The ERHS XC team needs your help in raising funds to support our athletes.  The money raised will be used to pay for invitational entry fees, coaching stipends, end of the season banquet, and any equipment needed to support the team's training.  The following are the fundraisers planned for the season.  It is our hope that these planned fundraisers will help us raise the money needed to cover the season.  Should we come up short, additional fundraisers will be planned.

Donation Letters

Donation letters are great to send to out of town friends and relatives that may live too far away to support the traditional fundraisers. They are also great for those that want to help, but don’t have the time to participate. There are no charges associated with this fundraiser, so 100% of the donations go directly to the team.

We also have a letter that can be sent to businesses to sponsor the ERHS XC Team.  Be sure the included donation form is also filled out.

 

8/27 Car Wash 8:00-1:00 ERHS

The athletes will be given tickets to sell ahead of time. The cost will be $5.00 per car and $10.00 per truck.

We will need the athletes there to help wash cars. 

Juniors/Seniors – please bring car wash soap (please, no dish soap)

Freshmen/Sophomores – please bring old towels.

9/14 Carl’s Jr Fundraiser

Carl’s Jr on the corner of Schleisman and Archibald will donate 25% of sales for the day based on flyers turned in.

Flyers will be passed out to athletes approximately 2 weeks prior to this date.

We can pass out as many as we like, provided they are not handed out near the building.

10/15 Pancake Breakfast & Silent Auction

This will be held at ERHS from 8:00-10:00 am

Tickets will be sold for $5.00 each. 

Athletes will be given tickets to sell at least 2 weeks prior.

If you are interested in donating a prize for the silent auction, please reply to this email.

 

The success of our fundraisers lies in the participation and response from our Community. If you have any advertising ideas or options, please reply to this email.

Team Activities

 

8/20 Beach Run & Family Beach Party

We will be meeting at Hungtington Beach near Lifeguard Stand #13 at 3:00 pm. 

Athletes will do a run followed by a BBQ, bonfire and evening of fun for the XC families.  This is a great opportunity for the parents to get to know each other.

For the BBQ we are asking for the following donations:

Freshmen – hot dogs & buns

Sophomores – firewood 

Juniors  - chips and napkins

Seniors – S’mores supplies – graham crackers, marshmallows, chocolate bars

Each Athlete/Family will need to bring their own drinks

8/28 Nike Sunrise in the Park - Optional

The registration fee is $20.00 through 8/24, and $35 day of meet. All info can be found at this website

Meet Refreshments:

Thanks to those of you who have signed up to bring refreshments for the athletes on the day of the meet.  We are looking good for the 9/10 & 9/17 meets, but still need water, fruit, granola bars or gatorade for the rest of the meets.  Please let reply to erhsxctrack@gmail.com  if you can help out.
