ROONIES ARE THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS

CONGRATULATIONS TONEE, NIKKI, SAMANTHA, SARAH, AND MORGAN for putting on a stellar performance that only a Roonie can do. You held your own in a couple of nail biters and almost lost in the final game. Half time the Roonies are down 2-0 and about 5 minutes into the second half the Roonies wake up with their first of three, winning the National Championship 3-2. Thank you for making your parents and I extremely proud.

ROONIES are going to Fla. on the 12th to bring home the big one this year. Despite having 21 teams in the girls u13 competetive the Roonies look to be the better team.

ROONIES TAKE 1ST IN DC REGIONALS

We Need an Adult Female for the Co-Ed team

Roonies Take Fifth

The girls did impress again this year, winning 5 games and losing 2 narrowly. This was the year we should have taken first place. The different bracket system used by Got Milk, made it more difficult to recover from having 1 bad game.
Adding a new player with awesome foot skills and speed, Fatim did a wonderful job for a player who had never seen the format of a 3v3 tournament, and never even practiced with us. Taking to the game quickly she scored in her first game and almost every game after.
Sarah stepped it up for the tourney, beating numerous players to the ball and being one step ahead of the play.
Sam worked like a SLAVE agai as usual!!!
Tonee,Nikki and Sam played a hard physical, smart, and controlled game that amazes me to watch.
I feel a great deal of pride watching my girls play, knowing that one day they will play almost as good as a STOOGE!!!!!

ROONIES TAKE FIRST IN COLUMBIA, MD

Sam (THE CRUSHER)marked and handled the other teams best players. To put on a little show for the parents, she showed us how she can get crunched between two players and tripped, still pull the other two players down with her and get up smiling!!!! It's possible that may even have scored once or twice!!!HaHa
Sarah helped out with a few goals of her own. If she quits laying down on the field she'll score more. Braces are supposed to catch radio waves not elbows. Had one really memorable goal, left foot, up around the waist, one time shot.NNIICCEE
Nikki played extremely well on Saturday, making me very proud, showing some moves, great shooting, and allot of great plays. THE MOST IMPROVED PLAYER FOR THIS YEAR!!!!
Tonee showed us how many times she can get hacked while shielding the ball. A lot of great plays started back there, when Sam checked back for the easy in, thier passing skills aggravated the other players.
Well another tourney won, and on to the next. This might have been the hardest one in a while, or did we not practice? I still say that team sandbagged it on Saturday. Let's keep our heads in it and the medals around our heads. Just like to say "I'm one Proud Coach"

p.s. A Stooge won that final game for the Roonies, OH yeah, and a great coach. HAHA

ROONIES TAKE FIRST IN YARDLEY

The Roonies took first in Yardley, PA for the second straight year, going UNDEFEATED again for the second straight year. Bringing Sarah M. back and sticking with just 4 players might be the key to another winning streak (jinx) well we'll see at the next tourney. I think Sam needs to start working like a SLAVE again if we're going to backdoor teams. And you girls need to come up with another uniform that doesn't say "we live in a double wide"   Just keep playing hard and make me proud.

ROONIES COME IN 4TH AGAIN!!!!

Playing the same teams as last year, beating one that we didn't beat last year, and coming out with the same result was a major achievement. You girls played your heart out, and I'm proud to be your coach. You learned a new strategy and dominated play in almost all of the games. Next year we just need to win 2 more and we're national champs.
Sam really stepped up her game with great speed, accuracy, and physical play, not being denied the ball or goals(well she did miss the easy ones). She put us into Mondays games by getting her own point blank rebounds, one after the other, and burying them in the back of the net. She was working like a slave out there all weekend..
Nikki showed some speed out there, stopping allot of plays before they started, and stopped many breakaways in midfeild that resulted in a goal. She also showed great ball skills that helped in the new strategy of possession. (hey, no fights this year).
Tonee took allot of shots for the team, being tattooed with the ball, and stopping more shots than goals against. She showed great composure dribbling out of the back while the others set up. Came up big with some great goals.
Stacy and Erica did a fine job out there. Being new to the team and the team changing strategies in the tourney, they held their own. Stacy put the game winning goal in the back of the net off of a shot to the stomach and toes on the line of the box, allowing us to beat the team that beat us last year by one goal.
It takes more than one player to win, it takes one team, and I believe I saw a great one playing this year. (I know it was more of the coaching, but I have to give you guys some credit)

And after overhearing Sam: I brag 100 times more about you and your teammates than I do about my goals and The Stoogez

FIRST PLACE
ROONIES GOING TO FLA.

THE ROONIES ARE GOING TO FLORIDA AGAIN IN 2004!!!!! AFTER AN UNDEFEATED 3V3 SEASON, THE ROONIES ARE #1!!!!!!!!TONEE, NIKKI, NIKKI,SAM, AND STACY TOOK FIRST PLACE IN EVERY TOURNAMENT THIS SUMMER, AND TOOK FIRST PLACE IN THE NORTHEAST REGIONALS. SAM HAD HER FEET ADJUSTED AND WAS HITTING THE NET THIS TIME, NIKKI HAD EXCELLENT SILENT GAMES(SOMEWHAT),AND A BEAUTIFUL HEADBALL GOAL, NIKKI WAS PRESSING HARD AND FAST TO THE BALL (YES, SHE SHOWED SOME SPEED THIS YEAR) STACY FINALLY GOT HER GOAL OF THE TOURNEY FROM A ONE TIME VOLLEY(CONGRATS) TONEE SHOWED HER DRIBBLING SKILLS COMING OUT OF THE BACK, BUT AS A TEAM THEY SHOWED GREAT COMPOSURE,PASSING,DRIBBLING,SKILL,AND SHOOTING ABILITIES THAT LEFT SPECTATORS AND THIER COACHES IN AWE. THEY ENTER THE FIELD AS A TEAM AND INTRODUCE THIER OPPONENTS TO ROONIES SOCCER..CONGRATULATIONS GIRLS AND GOOD LUCK IN FLORIDA, YOUR ALMOST AS GOOD AS A STOOGE

ROONIES STRIKE AGAIN IN MARYLAND

HEY WHO WAS THAT OTHER GIRL OUT THERE? LOOKS LIKE ONE OF THE MISSING ROONIES APPEARED ON THE SCENE JUST IN TIME TO SHOOT WIDE!!!HAHAHA THE ROONIES WON FIRST PLACE IN COLUMBIA,MD GOING UNDEFEATED ALL WEEKEND. WELL I'LL SEE YOU THUGS IN EAST BRUNSWICK

Roonies Take Yardley By Storm

The Roonies took it all home last weekend with all in the win column. Thanks to Stacy and Erica joining on late notice, they gave the Roonies the extra edge they needed on Sunday in the final. Thanks Girls, and congratulations.   On to the next tourney!!!!!!!!!

ROONIES COME IN 4TH

Going to Florida this year was well worth the trip!!!!!!The Roonies battled some very good competition and came out on top with major upsets. Sam Ba. stopped the other teams game winning goal, putting the brakes on two girls that didn't know what hit them, and scored the game winning goal that put the Roonies in the semi-finals(GREAT JOB SAM)!!. Just knowing that the other teams scored on our mistakes and not because they out skilled us, was a great feeling!!! The Roonies are making thier mark and will be remembered.   GREAT JOB GIRLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
