Rondout Valley Little League: Our Field of Dreams

Our Field of Dreams

The town of Rosendale has 8-10 acres of property on Creek Locks Rd that has been approved for the usage of to the little league to rebuild our fields. This will be more than just little league fields too! This will be an amazing sports complex and community area right in our community.

 *************************

We will begin construction of our fields in a few short weeks. We will be preparing the field and laying out the diamonds. We are in need of volunteers to assist with removing the fencing down at our old field to see if the fencing and poles are salvageable, we will need to scavenge the AJ Snyder fields for any field equipment that will be usable at the new location. Time is of the essences, we are in a race against the weather to prepare at least 2 fields before the snow. Our goal is to have the majors’ field and the softball field ready by April for the new season.

We need our community to come together and support this youth program as they have in the past. If you or someone you know that is willing to help let them know. We will need dirt, gravel, infield sand, heavy equipment, building materials for our pavilion, restrooms, concession stand, press box, dugouts and playground. We will need materials for the walking path and manpower is our biggest need. We will need field equipment, audio equipment, and kitchen equipment,

Baseball & Softball Fans,

We are in the process of building new fields on the beautiful land offered through the Town of Rosendale on Creek Locks Rd.  This sports complex will be a positive addition to the community areas that Rosendale hosts for it residents and the surrounding areas.  Our complex will have 3 diamonds; Minor league, Majors league, & Softball, along with an inviting walking/bike path, playground, pavilion and a concession stand.

There is much work to be done and we are in need of your support.  We will need to purchase dirt, sand, gravel, sod, field equipment, fencing, wood and materials for building the pavilion, restrooms, concession stand and press box, the playground equipment and materials for the walking path.

Monetary donations will assist us in the purchases Rondout Little League will need to make, but donations of your time, services and/or materials would also be of a great value.  We will need assistance with many items that need to be built or purchased, such as Dugouts ($2,000 each), Play Ground Equipment ($1,000- $5,000 per item), Bathrooms ($2,000), Kitchen Equipment ($250 - $1,200 per item), 3 Score Boards ($1,000 - $2,000 each), Sand/Dirt/Gravel, and Picnic Tables ($500 each).  We would welcome your sponsorship of one of the afore mentioned items. Please help us make a place where our children may come to play ball in a safe and welcoming field for the whole family and our community.

We will have a recognition wall that will list all the donators that have helped to build our fields.  So, please help us by making a team play for children and forever be a part of Our Field of Dreams!
