Romeo Girls Softball: Welcome

Players, Coaches, Parent, Family and Friends: 

Thank you for joining us as we enter into another year of exciting softball for our players. The 2013 softball season will be the 41st year of the RGS League.  Registration has begun and will end March 18, 2013.  Please watch for information to be mailed to former players. The Registration form can also be found on the Handout Tab on this website.  Registration forms may be submitted Monday through Friday  9:00 am - 4:30 pm at Romeo Washington Bruce Parks and Recreation Office located at 361 Morton, Romeo, 48065.  Registration forms may also be mailed to that same address to the League's attention.

Romeo Girls Softball League Mission:

It is the purpose of the Romeo Girls Softball League to provide a safe and instructional League, which provides all players with the opportunity to learn and play softball as a team. 

Divisions: 

The Romeo Girls Softball League offers fastpitch softball for girls ages 5 - 16 in the following recreational division: 

Sandlot:  Ages 5-6-7  Coach Pitch

Junior:  Ages 8-9-10  Limited Player Pitch and Pitching Machine

Minor:  Ages 11-12     Player Pitch

Major:  Ages 13-14-15-16  Player Pitch

Age of player on January 1, 2013 determines division that the individual will play in.( Divisions are subject to change)

Season Schedule: 

This is a Tuesday and Thursday League, which means the majority of practices and games will all be played on those days.  On occasion, an additional practice or game may be scheduled on another day due to makeups or extra sessions per coaches discretion.  Practices will begin in May and run thru the month..  Games will begin during the last week of May and the season will run until the end of June.  A special family day will be held on the first Saturday in June, where team and individual pictures will be taken.  All games and practices occur on local Romeo softball fields.  More information will be given to all players at their first practice.   Coaches should be calling their players by mid April to let them know the location of their first practice and time.

Game Standings:

Standings will be posted for the Minor and Major divisions only.  Please click on the appropriate tab to check your teams standings.
