RYS Spring Season Coming to a Close This weekend will mark the final weekend of the RYS Spring regular season. All the boys and girls of RYS did a great job this season! Make sure you gather all your friends and family and come down to Esten one last time to watch your favorite players play. Micro's - Micro's Weekly game schedule listed below:

RYS Travel Teams in Playoffs A big congratulations goes out to Dave McKenna's U12 Girls Travel team for securing the #1 seed on the season and earning a first round bye in the playoffs. Also congrats goes out to Frank Blonde's U12 Girls and John Krish's U18 Girls Travel team for making the playoffs Make sure you congratulate the players and coaches when you see them on such a great acheivement. RYS has plenty of representation in the playoffs this season. Please come out and root for the teams who made the playoffs. Lets get out there and cheer them on as each of these teams work towards the finals. Here is the playoff schedule: * U12 McKennas Girls team - First Round bye - Next game scheduled for June 9th in Bridgewater @ 2pm. Team is TBD. * U12 Blonde Girls team - Next game scheduled for Saturday June 2nd @ 9:30am in Bridgewater. Team is TBD. * U18 Krish Rockland/Holbrook Girls team - Championship game to be played Sunday June 17th @ 11am @ Braintree High School

RYS Travel Team Evaluation Schedule (for Fall season) The 2012 Fall Travel Evaluation dates have been finalized. If your player is planning on playing Travel soccer in the fall they will need to attend their age groups session listed below. They are as follows:
U10 Schedule:
U14 Schedule: The end time of these evaluations will vary based on the amount of players being evaluated. Please plan on at least one hour for the evaluations to be completed. I ask that you arrive a few minutes early so we can check you in and assign you with a number for evaluation. This will aslo help us start on time. If you have any scheduling conflicts please let your current coach know so he can relay that information to the evaluation team. The following are examples of what will be evaluated:

2012 RYS Elections Its that time of year again, Election season for RYS. There are certain RYS Executive Board (E-Board) positions that will be up for elections. If you, or someone you know, has what it takes to contribute to the continued success of Rockland Youth Soccer then throw your name into the mix. Elections will be held at our June General Meeting. If you, or someone you know, is interested in being part of this great group of volunteers, please send your nominations to RYS President, Kevin Burke - dogger01@verizon.net, by May 31, 2012. Here are the positions up for election in June:
Executive Board (E-Board) Positions available(serve for 2 years): * All Age Directors positions will also be availble at this time. Age Directors will be voted on by the E-Board. If you are interested in being an Age Director please send your name to Kevin Burke. RYS' Annual Coaches Game a BIG Success! The Annual RYS Coaches game was a huge success this past weekend. Thank You to all the fans that came out to root for their favorite coach(es). It was a great battle between the two teams. Both teams escaped unscathed of injury and fun was had by all. RYS Night at Uno's Hanover - Thursday May 31st RYS and Uno's Chicago Grill of Hanover are teaming up for RYS Night at Uno's of Hanover. Bring the family out for a delicious lunch, dinner, or even take-out to help support the program on Thursday, May 31st. Uno's will donate up to 20% of your check to RYS. Make sure you click here to print off the Dough Raiser ticket to present to the server. This will assure RYS gets the proceeds. Come on out and support the program! Fall Registrations Now Open! Fall registration is officially open. There are two ways to register; Live Registration, On-line registration, and manual registration. You can find all details regarding registrations on our Registration link. Here are some important dates to remember:

RYS Clubhouse Project The new RYS Clubhouse grand opening was a huge success! Thank you to Sports Authority for all the prize giveaways. Thank you to all of you for your continued support of RYS. Make sure you swing by and check out all the great merchandise we have for sale. We have some great treats for sale as well. Make sure you bring your player by for a slice of pizza, a hot dog, candy, or even a slush puppy!

RYS Summer Camp Programs RYS is happy to offer two great Summer Camp programs from our affiliates, PTUSA and Challenger. Sign your player up for these great programs! * PTUSA Summer Camp at the Esten School from July 9th thru July 13th. PTUSA in conjunction with Rockland Youth Soccer will be running summer soccer camp programs at Esten School. PTUSA will strive to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment at all our soccer camps. Our coaches are selected for their outstanding dedication to teaching the youth soccer player and for their love of this amazing game. Every player will be treated as an individual and pushed to achieve their full potential, in a fun filled, but competitive environment.

Challenger in conjunction with Rockland Youth Soccer will be running summer soccer camp programs at Esten School. British Soccer Camps provide players of all ages and abilities with the rare opportunity to receive high-level soccer coaching from a team of international experts. Each day includes individual foot skills, technical drills, tactical practices, small-sided games, coached scrimmages, and a daily tournament. Equally important, the Challenger coaching staff provides your child with lessons in respect, responsibility, integrity, sportsmanship and leadership. Volunteers Needed Dr. Martin Luther King said "Everybody can be great because everybody can serve". Are you one thats looking to serve and make a difference in the Rockland community? If so, volunteering for RYS is one way of giving yourself that satisfaction, pride, and accomplishment you get when volunteering. There are many opportunities to volunteer your time with RYS: Concession Stand - Director of Concession, Traci Milso, is always looking for volunteers to help out in the concession stands. High School students can earn their community service hours if you know of any students interested. If you are interested please contact Traci: milso@verizon.net Coaching - ALL Age groups are looking for Coaches. If you, or someone you know is interested in coaching for one of the age groups, please reach out to that age groups Age Directors. RYS Improvements - RYS is always looking to improve. Whether it be field improvements, concession stand improvements, etc., we are always looking to get better. Do you master in a trade? Looking to volunteer your expertise? If you fall in this category or know of a person or company looking to volunteer their services please consider RYS. We are always looking at ways to get better.
