ROCKLAND THUNDER We pride ourselves as being one of THE Premier Girls Fastpitch Softball Travel Clubs in the Tri-State Area, based in Rockland County, N.Y.
We compete in tournaments, primarily in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut, and attend National Tournaments in Ohio, Florida, North Carolina, and Virginia.
MISSION STATEMENT: Rockland Thunder's mission is to ensure a highly competitive, fair and fun environment for all players and their families to enjoy the world of Club/Travel Softball. Rockland Thunder is fully committed to provide a platform where players will significantly increase their softball ability and long term potential to play at the college level.

Don't ASSUME all travel organizations are alike.
Here's what Rockland THUNDER has to offer:
We are Non-Profit. (ALL expenses are for the benefit of the players.)
We have Professional Coaches who VOLUNTEER to be on our staff. (We value the players' time and effort and strive to improve their playing level. The professional coaches volunteer their time and are not paid.)
We don't add "Part time" players mid season at the expense of full time dedicated players (This cuts into full time players' playing time. and kills team chemistry.)
We spell out our best estimate of the costs in advance. (We provide many OPTIONAL ways to fundraise to cover your costs. Don't get committed to a team with a low-ball upfront cost, only later to get hit with hidden costs and additional MANDATORY fundraisers.)
It's one thing to steal bases, it's another to steal people. (We don't target other organization's players and try to steal them away. That's underhanded. It's proper to hold general open tryouts and recruit from the players that tryout. That's how we run our organization.)

We are always looking for quality Girls Fastpitch Softball players for age levels 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U, and 18U (Ages 9-18 as of 12/31/2009). We welcome players from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

If you are serious about playing TRAVEL (Club) Softball consider trying out for one of the most successful and longest running programs in the area. We are always looking for dedicated athletes that want to play highly competitive Softball. Do not be fooled by imitators. ROCKLAND THUNDER has been one of THE Premier Clubs in the area for over 15 years.

Continuing U12 RED's second year in prime form, the Beacon XTREME Top Trophy was awarded to the team Sunday!

Rockland THUNDER U12 RED wins 1st Tournament of the year!
It's a good start for U12 RED's second year as they went undefeated both days to win the Spring Voyage Tournament in New Windsor, NY.
