Vipers go down in close one!!!
In what looked like a game where the Vipers would get steam rolled there true colors showed when they lined up against there old foe the Steelers. With half there team missing and some key players down and out the Vipers went up against the 30+ strong Steelers with only 16 players and by half time were down to 13 players but still led 18 to 6. QB #13 Ben Gastarov found his main weapon and leagues best WR #11 Steve Prout on two occasions for TDs and many more times to keep the chains moving threw out the game to keep the Vipers in it. Steam train fukllback #37 Nate Lansdell had another outstanding game making some destroying runs and some hard yards when the Vipers needed it the most and the whole Vipers O contributed all day even with most of them playing Iron man football all day. The Viper D led by #12 Bojan "Fresh" Vucic played hard all day and it was only on a few broken plays that the Steelers O found there feet. In the end the game came down to a few fumbles late in the game that resulted in TDs for the Steelers that finished the Vipers off and resulted in a 36-26 win to the Steelers. The Vipers will now play the broncos at 3;30 next week in the first semi-final at Bassendean oval.
