ROCKINGHAM VIPERS GRIDIRON CLUB: Welcome

The Rockingham Vipers represent the southern most districts in Gridiron West. Based out of Rockingham, they have been the most successful Gridiron Team in WA since their inception in 1996. The Vipers have won 6 Gridiron West championships since entering the league, and are always on the look out for people interested in playing, coaching or supporting the club.

Training is held at Anniversary Park in Rockingham (On Council Ave, just opposite Rockingham City Shopping Center).

Juniors (14-18 year olds) – Tuesday and Thursday 5:30-7:30pm

Seniors (Over 18 years old) – Tuesday and Thursday 6:30-8:30pm

The Vipers vs Broncos Semi-Final will be replayed this Saturday at 6pm.

The Semi-Final needs to be replayed after the lights went out with 4 minutes 44 seconds left to play. The Grand Final has been moved back one week to allow for this replay to take place.

The Vipers were leading the game 24-16 at the time of the light failing, but the Broncos had driven into the Vipers territory and had 1st and 10 at the Vipers 11 yard line, a Touchdown and subsiquent 2 point conversion would have tied the score. 

The Vipers would appreciate any and all support who can make it to Kingsway Reserve to watch this re-match, as it is sure to be an intense and hard fought battle to take a spot in the Grand Final.

Congratulations to the 6 Vipers Juniors who have been selected to the Autralian Junior Outback A and B squads for the world cup qualifying match against American Somoa in Feb 2012 on the Gold Coast.

The selections announced today are as follows - Billy Thompson (TE) , Kyle Campbell (OL), Kieren Lansdell (QB), Brandon Van Zyl (RB), Scott Savage (LB) and Kiernan Swan (CB).
