The first modern Olympic games were held in Athens, Greece in 1896. Modern sporting events, as we think of them, first gained wide popularity in Europe and the United States around the middle of the 19th century. Western sports came to Japan after the Meiji Restoration (1868) and spread rapidly. In 1912, at the fifth Olympiad, Japan participated in the Olympic Games for the first time. In 1906, around the time modern sporting events began to gain real acceptance in Japan, Mizuno was founded as Mizuno Brothers Ltd."In the century since, Mizuno has worked steadily toward the development of sports in Japan and throughout the world. In the history of civilization, the last 100 years has marked an age of a rise in sports-through war, conflict and the vicissitudes of politics and economics. It has been a time in which sports have played a role of immeasurable importance to humanity. While tracing the steps that Mizuno has left in the sporting world over the last century, we wish to look at the vital role that sports have played in society and the decisive role they can play in the future. sales@tripleplayrockford.com Phone: 815-282-1844 |

The Topps Company was founded in 1938 as Topps Chewing Gum, and in its early years produced a popular penny "Topps Gum" from a factory in Brooklyn, N.Y. After World War II, the company developed Bazooka Bubble Gum, and in 1950, added trading cards to its product line. Baseball cards appeared in 1951 and quickly became a vital part of pop culture, a tradition that continues to this day, and includes football (both American and European) and basketball, in addition to entertainment cards and stickers and albums. In July 2003, Topps acquired WizKids, LLC a designer and marketer of collectible strategy games. Topps maintains offices in Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, and Argentina, in addition to the U.S. Topps also manufactures the popular lollipop brands marketed as Ring Pops, Push Pops, Baby Bottle Pops and other novelty candy and gum products. Our story began when three individuals from very different professional backgrounds were brought together by their shared passion for diamond sports and desire to produce a better bat. This passion goes back many years, but it was in 1996 that we manufactured our first model in a private labeling venture for another bat company. In 1999, we designed and produced our first multi-wall bat featuring our patented Power-Arch Technology. After development was completed, the company it was designed for underwent a major upheaval and delayed the bat’s release. Rather than allowing this groundbreaking performance technology to sit on the back burner, we took the bats to a local tournament and shared our design with members of our extended diamond sports family. The response was overwhelming, and we were instantly bombarded with inquiries on "How do I get my hands on one of those Anderson bats?" Thus, Anderson Bat Company was born… The Anderson Bat Company vision is Game Improvement by Design. It is our desire to be interwoven into the fabric of our national pastime and to have Anderson Bat Company become synonymous with better baseball and better softball. Our commitment to this vision involves every facet of the game that we can reach, and it is an uninterrupted cycle of renewal. Improved products improve the players, improved players improve the game, and the improved game is the inspiration to improve the product . . . and the cycle renews itself. Our dedication to the cycle includes a constant, careful assessment of how today's game is played and a vigilant examination of the player that plays it. This investigative progression toward perfection provides the inspiration for a focused approach to developing the highest performing bats on the field. Every Anderson bat is proudly made in the U.S.A. for players, by players. We set the standard, and we will continue to push the envelope. Over the last decade, our labor of love has evolved from a private labeling operation into the industry’s leading manufacturer of aluminum baseball and softball equipment, and the best is yet to come! tom@tripleplayrockford.com Phone: 815-282-1844 |

Benson Stone Company was established in Rockford, Illinois, in 1930 by Martin O. Benson, a Swedish immigrant, and his son, M. Howard Benson. The company is now a fourth generation family business. In the beginning, the company was primarily a cut stone fabrication facility producing Indiana limestone building stone. Since that time, the company's product offerings have expanded to include furniture and home décor, all types of building and landscaping stone and brick, granite and marble, fireplaces, barbecue grills, and gift items. In 2001, the company moved into its current location at 1100 Eleventh Street in Rockford. The new office and showroom are housed in the former Rockford Standard Furniture factory. The building, which was built in 1886, was a cornerstone of Rockford's booming furniture manufacturing industry in the early 1900s. Benson Stone Company, which has been located one block away for the past 70 years, has restored the building, exposing the original structure with its massive wooden post-and-beam construction and maple hardwood flooring. The new location provides Benson Stone Company with the space needed to display the Midwest's largest selection of furniture, fireplaces, wood stoves, patio furniture, barbecue grills, landscape supplies, building stone and brick, and marble and granite countertops.
