| Slammers, you played a tough schedule this year by playing up in 18U tournaments and showed that you can play with anyone. You should all be very proud of what you accomplished at nationals, a 5 and 2 record! There is no shame in losing to a better teams. Even though you did not defend your NE regional crown you proved that you are still the best 16U team in NE by outplaying then all when it mattered. Great Job!! All of us parents are proud of you! Coaches...you did all right too! Tim |

| Hey Ladies, As you probably all know, a very special and close friend of mine ended her softball career this past weekend. About a week ago, she sent me a message that I kept and will always keep close to my heart. I wanted to share it with you. For every bump For every bruise For the desire to win For refusing to lose For the feeling you feel When the job is well done For the tears that are cried When the game is not won For getting knocked down And getting back on your feet For the drive to be better For rejecting defeat For the "impossible" goals For achieving a dream For beating the odds And being part of a team For the blood, sweat, and tears And the hardwork every day For the love of the game That's why you play. I thought I was a pretty tough guy, but when I read the above note and read it again as she played her last inning of softball, I cannot tell you how sad, yet how proud of her I was. 2008 is a special year to me so lets do some SLAMMER TIME this year like you all know how.
