RSC Lightning White '92 Girls Soccer

The Rochester Lightning ’92 Players and Families would like to Thank You for visiting our web-site.  The players and families feel very fortunate to be Coached by Gordon Gardiner.  Gordon, born in Scotland has climbed the European ladder of soccer excellence as both a player and trainer; and is now sharing that knowledge, skill, commitment, and passion for "The World's Game" here in our own backyard with players of all ages and skill levels.  Not only is he currently a successful coach of elementary school aged boys and high school girls at some of the highest levels of Michigan Club soccer; but he is also an assistant coach for the Women's Soccer Program at Oakland University.  He peppers each training session and match with his international flavor and love of the game.  Gordon strongly encourages one to take responsibility for their own actions both on and off the pitch.

The 2008 Lady Lightning will play in the Michigan State Premier 1 Soccer League - The top divison in the state.
  The Rochester Lightning 92 are 2008 STATE CUP QUARTER-FINALISTS and play under the direction of the Rochester Soccer Club, which is an extension of the Rochester Youth Soccer League.

June 5th:  Pre tryout kick around. On Monday, Wedensday and Friday next week, we have planned 'show and play' games at Hart Middle School for all interested players.  Time 6.30 - 8pm

RSC White 92 Tryouts.  June 15th and 16th at Borden Park, 12 noon both days.  Go to to register online.

Promises to be another great season with the team already in two tournaments even before tryouts.  We visit the Kalamazoo Showcase and the adidas High School Classic in Ohio.

June 23rd:  A wake up call in Kalamazoo.  Early days, new team but plenty of promise.

July 21st:  Lightning return from the adidas high school college showcase in Ohio in great form after playing some very tough high school teams from Ohio, Indiana and Illinois.

Aug 11th:  NSR Cup.  2 draws and 1 loss was not enough to advance.  Good competition yet again.

Aug 25th:  Troy Elite Cup.  Lightning 92 crowned champions in a fun tournament for the girls before the regular season starts. 

Jan 26th: Fort Wayne college showcase.  Lightning 92 come home with a 2-1 record and a great display against some very good opposition.

Feb 15th: Michigan indoor showcase (Lansing).  Lightning return home with a 3-0 record.
